CHAPTER 9.

Hayley felt the sharp gripping pain in her belly and gasped she let it subside, then gently lifted the heavy arm from her waist and got out of bed putting her hands to the small of her back she pressed in firmly to relieve some of the pressure she was feeling and walked up and down the room silently when she felt the next pulsating gripping of her womb she stopped taking in a harsh breath and stopped her movements. Klaus heard the strong harsh intake of breath his eyes snapped open seeing the empty bed and sat up abruptly he watched her in the dark slightly bend over her hands of her thighs, her head bowed her legs slightly apart bracing herself to the floor and whooshed out of bed and was next to her in moments, placing his hand gently on her lower back feeling her muscles twitch under his hand her scent had changed heavier, stronger smelling earthier, she took a deep breath in and stood her large stomach looked tight and ripples of movement skimmed across her skin, she smiled widely at him,

"I think we should go to the hospital now, will you alert them at hospital reception and get the long black dress hanging up and my bag and pumps they are ready to go in the dressing room," she chuckled as he whooshed to grab his phone from the bedside table and then the dressing room hearing him on the phone to the hospital barking at them and she smirked. He whooshed back with her dress, bag and shoes,

"Do you want underwear?" She shook her head as he lifted the flowing dress over her naked body and settled it in place then crouched and helped put on her pumps then picked up her bag, "Can you walk?" She nodded, "Let's go," She laughed rubbing her belly,

"Your sexy as hell Klaus Mikaelson but you'll be arrested if you step out of here naked," He looked down at his naked body smirked and whooshed back into the dressing room seconds later he was back dressed and booted picked her bag up again and put his arm around her waist to help her out of the room, down the stairs and nearly to the Gallery door before she stopped and groaned her fingers digging into his arm around her, as a contraction gripped her, Klaus stood waiting hearing her ragged breath his free hand going to her stomach feeling the tightness of her stomach as it contracted.

"Our daughter is in a hurry to get here," Klaus remarked, Hayley stood straight and took a steadinging breath.

"So it seems she has our impatience," She sassed, he chuckled imaging an impatient little girl scowling at not getting her own way, as he opened the door and lead her to his car parked out the front of the Gallery, which he had been doing for the past two weeks in case she went into labour at night or during the day and he could get her to the car quickly, he picked her up and placed her in the passenger seat put her bag in the back seat then whooshed to the drivers side got in and started the car driving off smoothly as to not jolt her.

Klaus carried Hayley and her bag into the Hospital, an attendant coming forward with a wheelchair and followed as they wheeled her into the delivery wing, glad he had taken the procedure tour with her when she had discussed her birth plan with him, all of it completely foreign to him considering in Esther's time males left the hut and were told to stay outside while a female healer Ayana in Esther case was always there for the delivery of a birthing child and a few other women from the village would help the delivering mother. Males banished outside.

He watched as they got her on the bed and checked her cervix also grateful Hayley had informed him as to what would the procedures would be once in the hospital, "That is fast you are already 8 centimetres dilated, won't be too long and you can push," The midwife announced as Hayley gritted her teeth and groaned through another contraction and looked at Klaus, he pulled a chair to the head of her bed close to her and she grabbed his hand gripping it hard, he felt his bones shift and grind rubbing together, her dress being dropped over her knees again by the midwife and the midwife left, the other nurse in the room making sure the room was set up for an imminent delivery.
