When he cancelled your date

You were busy trying to choose an outfit for your date with Jay . You were so excited to finally go on a date after a while.
As an idol, Jay could be very busy at times. But you don't mind, because you love him and you just try to understand.
If people knew, they might think that you wouldn't last because dating an idol is really hard.
It would be a lie to say that it's not true. But here you are, dating him for 3 years now.
He is kind, caring, sweet, and not to mention that he's funny. He always does his best to make sure we have time spent together, even though it's just talking to each other on the phone.

Suddenly, you heard you phone ringing. You look at the caller id, it's Jay. You answered the call.

Y/n : Hey oppa.

You're a year younger than him, so you call him oppa.

Jay : Hey princess. What are you doing now?

Y/n : I'm getting ready. Why?

Jay : (Sigh) Uhmmm... I'm not sure how to tell you this.

Hearing that he's hesitating, you figured something is up. And it's not a good thing.

Y/n : What is it? Is something wrong?

Jay : I hate to break it to you like this, but I can't lie to you either.

Y/n : It's ok, you can tell me.

Jay : Uhmmmm.... During practice, we were told that PDnim wants to tell us something. So we're gonna have a sudden meeting after practice. And I don't think it'll be short.

Y/n : Is that why you're hesitating to tell me?

Jay : I'm sorry, princess. I know we've been planning this date for a few weeks and you're really excited about it.

You took a deep breath to keep your head clear, trying not to be too disappointed.

Y/n : It's ok, we can do it next time.

Jay : I'm really sorry, Y/n. I really am.

Y/n : It's ok, really. I miss you, though.

Jay : I know. I miss you too. We haven't seen each other in 2 weeks. Can I go to your place later?

Y/n : Well, you have a spare key so you're always welcome.

You both chuckled.

Yup, you gave him a spare key to your apartment. So that he can come in easily whenever he wants to visit.
But even though he has the key, he always ask for your permission to visit your place. What a gentleman.

Jay : Still, I should ask. I don't know what time I'll be done, though. So don't wait for me, ok. Eat your dinner on time, or you'll have another gastric pain.

Y/n : (Sigh) I guess. To you as well, make sure to eat.

Jay : Ok. I should go now, break is almost over.

Y/n : Alright, see you.

Jay : See you, princess.

You both hung up and you let out sigh. That was the first time that your date got cancelled.

Y/n : I guess I don't have to worry about what to wear anymore.

You go to the kitchen and open the fridge, wondering what to eat for dinner. It's almost empty. So you decided to go get groceries.

*Time Skip at night*

You already took a shower. Now you're contemplating whether to eat your dinner or to wait for Jay.
You look at the clock and it's already 8.40 pm. You texted Jay to ask if he's done, but no answer. So you decided to wait for a little more while watching TV.
