Mon's POV

Mon: so did you have a good day?
Sarai: yeah...
She didn't sound too excited.
Mon: erm... a-are you home, alone?
Sarai: No, Miss Mai is here with me.
I saw her looking away to another corner of her room.
Mon: Why do you look sad?
She let out a big sigh and then looked at me through the camera.
Sarai: I feel lonely... like before.
That broke my heart!
Mon: I will be back soon, Sasa! Sorry, for leaving you!
I really feel guilty for leaving her!
Sarai: it's not your fault!
Mon: Do you want me to text your mom to invite Noi for a playdate?
Sarai: No, I'm okay! Mama has been busy lately so it's best we try another time.
Oh? Sam has been busy...
Mon: Is Mama working a lot?
She nodded her head...
Sarai: Yes! I only get to see her at night time, and usually only for a few seconds because I need to sleep!
Mon: I see, but you know your Mama doesn't mean it. She just wants to give you the best of the best life.
Sarai: I know...
Mon: Yuki is sending you kisses, she says she misses you a lot.
I smiled and tried to cheer her up a little... but I got a half smile.
Sarai: I miss her too!
It was getting really hard making her happy!
Mon: Sarai, it hurts me to see you this sad. What's bothering you? Is it just me being gone? Is there something else?
She didn't say anything, which gave me confirmation that something had happened to her!
Sarai: I'm okay, MonMon.
Mon: there's only one more day left and I will be back with you! I'm almost fully recovered, the pain around my injury is now manageable so on Monday I will be there early to wake you up, okay?
She nodded her head, giving me a genuine smile!
Sarai: okay, MonMon!
Mon: Now tell me all about what you've been up to these three days I'm not there with you...
Sarai: I attended my classes and Ms. Mai taught me how to make apple pie yesterday, it was really fun and yummy!
I saw her smiling, brighter and it warmed my heart...
Sarai: Mama, made me a big breakfast yesterday before she left for work, I heard Ms. Mai commenting to Mama that she needs to sleep. I think she hasn't been sleeping well...
That surprised me...
Sarai: Mama has been really busy, so busy that Miss Nita showed up here looking for her the other day but Mama was not here.
Hearing Nita's name made my heart race...
Mon: Did Miss Nita stay for too long?
Sarai: Not really, she played with me for a bit but she doesn't really know how to play...and we talked...
