This chapter takes place about two weeks before the UA Entrance Exam (roughly). For context, while most students apply to their colleges or universities or hero schools 1 or 2 months before their final exams, UA starts a month earlier. This is because of the sheer number of applicants for UA. The processing, though done by computers still takes some time. After which the teachers set the years exam papers and the hero course entrance exam all of which requires proper accommodations to me made for all the students, in accordance with the countries Laws.

After a long month of finals and two whole weeks of anxiety as the students waited for their results, followed by the declaration of the results, the students finally make it to Graduation Day.

Three days before the Graduation day.

Izuku stood in front of the Principals office, waiting to be let in. 'For all the confidence Spider-Man has under that mask, Izuku still is a bundle of nerves at times like this huh...' Izuku thinks to himself as he wipes off the sweat from his forehead.

Ms. Rai opens the door much to Izuku's shock. "You're wearing your uniform. Good. Follow me, Midoriya." She tells him.

"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be like away on a vacation?" Izuku asks her, careful not to be too loud as they crossed the Principal's assistant.

"Mind your manners in public. For everyone, we are still teacher and student." Mira whispers back to him. "

"Wording for fucks sake." Izuku mutters, slightly red from the unintentional innuendo.

"You know what I meant." Mira says as they reach the door that had the Principal's name on it.

"Why have I been called anyway?" Izuku asks him.

"You'll see." Mira tells him as she knocks on the door and walks in, Izuku following her. "Midoriya is here sir."

"Ahh. Mr. Midoriya. Please, have a seat. You too Mira." The principal says. "Would you like some tea? Maybe coffee? I know coffee is all the rage with you kids nowadays."

"I'm fine sir. I just had breakfast at home. Thank you for offering though." Izuku responds.

"Well, if that's the case then let's get straight to the point." He tells Izuku. "I'm sure you must have seen your scores. And I must say, I haven't seen scores more perfect than yours in my 15 years at this institution."

Izuku blushes a little. "It... it's just hard work and some luck. And a lot of support from... from my family and friends, sir." Izuku answers.

"Being humble is a nice quality. Especially for someone that wants to get into research like you. Though, learn to accept praise when given." The man says with a soft chuckle. "Now, tomorrow, we will be releasing the invites for the Graduation Ceremony for your batch and as you know, every year, the valedictorian gives a speech." Izuku nods, his face still blank from any expressions as he waited for the Principal to finish. The man smirks. "I take it you don't do well reading between the lines do you?"

Izuku was visibly confused at this. "I don't think I understand sir."

Mira audibly sighs. "You're the valedictorian Izuku." She tells him.

"Oh..." Izuku says, "S-So I have to give the speech then?" Izuku asks them.

"Yes. That is the tradition. And has been for the past 20 years." The Principal answers. "And if I'm being honest, you are the best candidate for it. At least as far as the faculty is concerned."

"Your contributions through out your three years here at Somei have been exceptional." Mira tells him. "And I'm not just talking about the Decathlon team. I also mean how you tutored three students and helped them reach not just passable grades but get As and Bs in most of their subjects. That's not mentioning the Distinctions that Jiro Kyouka has received in some of the subjects she had taken."
