19: A Rush of Ninja Wisdom!

Nina POV:

We were still on our way to Cyllage City, and today we'd stopped at a nearby waterfall. Ash and I were practicing our techniques by having his Froakie and my Togetic have a training battle. Right now Ash was practicing accuracy using Froakie's frubbles on Togetic who was dodging each of them while flying through the air.

"I want you to face Togetic and use Bubble!" Ash called.

"Togetic Protect now!" I called. Froakie fired its attack but before it made contact with Togetic it built up a shield to protect itself.

"That's awesome now use Water Pulse!" Ash cried.

"Froakie in turn created a water projectile and fired at Togetic.

"Dodge it!" I yelled, Togetic flew out of the way and the Water Pulse made contact with a cliff, smashing it as rock started to rain down.

"Yes!" Ash cried.

"Way to go!" I cheered, as Froakie jumped out of the tree and Togetic landed from her flying.

"Both of you still have much work to do," A voice said from behind us. Ash and I turned around but saw no one. Froakie then suddenly noticed something and threw some frubbles in the direction of the voice, they hit a tree. Togetic fluttered down next to me lightly hovering.

"So you found me," the voice said as the tree bark (which was really a tarp) came off the tree and exposed a smirking ninja in a blue uniform. All of us gasped in shock except Bonnie.

"Wow a ninja!" she exclaimed, amazed. Froakie then jumped in front of Ash, annoyed with the ninja.

"Now ninja leaf shroud!" he exclaimed before touching the ground, activating a leaf storm and disappearing.

"He's gone!" Ash exclaimed, we looked around the area but saw nobody.

"Where could he have gone?" Ash questioned, also looking for the ninja. Froakie noticed a very slight rustling in a nearby bush, it jumped into the air and then threw more frubbles at it.

"Use your frubbles!" The ninja called for his Pokemon. Which countered Froakie's frubbles, and then flew past it when the smaller Bubble Frog Pokemon dodged the projectile.

"Good Froakie!" Ash said. "Let's go!" he grunted, and ran in the direction of the bush.When he got there, there was no one there. Froakie noticed there was a small pile of leaves nearby and threw frubbles at it. And swiftly a Pokemon escaped from the pile, and instead it appeared on a tree branch.

"Who's that Pokemon?" Ash asked, taking out his Pokedex.

"Frogadier, the Bubble Frog Pokemon, and the evolved form of Froakie. Frogadier's speed is unmatched, it can climb a tower over two-thousand feet tall in one minute," his Pokedex said.

"The evolved form of Froakie?" Ash questioned looking at his Froakie. Frogadier then began to leap from tree branch to branch. Until he met up with the ninja on the same branch and the two of them jumped down. We ran toward them and stopped.

"It's so cool!" Bonnie exclaimed.

"I am Sanpei, a young and skillful ninja," he introduced himself, with a smug glint in his eye.

"So you're a ninja?" Clemont questioned.

"That is what he said," I said.

"Incredible," Serena exclaimed.

"My name's Ash, you've got a great partner there with Frogadier," he smiled. "How about a battle with my Froakie?" Ash proposed.

"I've been looking for a suitable opponent for my Frogaier to battle against, but I have my doubts that your Froakie is powerful enough," Sanpei explained.
