~Albus's POV~
Zoe left about a week ago. Rose and Octavia are refusing to tell me the exact reason but they say it has something to do with what Zoe's parents were keeping from her. I was supposed to be there to help her figure it out but I wasn't, and now she's gone.
She was the closest thing to my best friend here at this school. We may have not known each other for very long but she's the only one who really understands the stress of having a huge prophecy hanging over your head.
"Scorpious" I said to my only friend in slytherin at breakfast "just because the school is called hogwarts it doesn't mean that if you touch the walls your going to turn into a hog with warts" I explained for the hundredth time that morning.
"How would you know?" Scorpious shot at me.
"The millions of students who have gone to this school and not turned into a hog yet. Your dad included".
"What if it's like a certain students turn into them like... a chosen one- yeah a chosen one".
I rolled my eyes and continued eating breakfast. "Hey Albus" said a boy named Dustin from my house. I looked up at him confused.
"Hello" I said "what's up?"
Dustin was a buff boy, he had a menacing glare and buzz cut.
"We're friends right?" Dustin asked me. I nodded slowly, unsure of what this was about. "And friends can ask other friends favours right?" I nodded again. "My grandparents were put in askaban, so I was wondering if you could talk to your dad about letting-"
"I don't think anyone really wants that Dustin" said a girl with short, Raven black hair, dark green eyes, and a hateful expression.
Dustin walked off with a scoff and the girl scooted over on the bench from miles away.
She casually ate her breakfast like we were best friends.
"Something wrong?" She asked, stopping stuffing her face for a second.
I looked over at Scorpios who couldn't take his eyes off the girl, giving her a dreamy look.
"It's just you've never even talked to us before. Why start now?"
She stopped stuffing her face for a second to think about this. "Well it's just you've always been with that Octavia girl so I've never come over to say hi".
"What about in the common room? Or in class?"
"Your always talking to someone. It's just this time you were talking to someone you didn't want to".
"How do I know your not trying to use me like him?"
"Yeah!" Scorpios added trying to be included.
"Stay out of it blondy" she snapped.
"Ok beautiful" he went back to his dreamy stare.
The girl gagged before continuing "my parents stayed out of the war so no needing to get out of askaban, the most complicated part of my life is probably all the assignments but I've seen your grades-"
"Hey mine are good!" I defended.
"And mine are better" she said simply. This girl was really annoying but at least someone in my house besides scorpios wanted to be my friend.
"So do you have any friends at all?" Scorpios asked.
"Just you guys" she smiled.
"So just yourself then" I muttered going back to eating.
She rolled her eyes. "Come on don't give me that! Please just give me a chance!"
"I personally think we should" Scorpios cut in.
"Shut up Scorpios" I snapped at him. "We don't even know your name. How can we be friends with you when we don't even know who you are?"
"Crystal" she gave us a cheesy smile "Crystal Parkinson". I rolled my eyes at her and then went back to eating. "What now?"
"I know your mother got put in askaban. You've already lied to us" I said getting up.
"No your dad let her go" she said, following me out of the great hall.
I continued walking down to the corridor to my common room wile she chased after me.
"Look I know about your little prophecy" I stopped in my tracks. Scorpios who didn't know about the prophecy seemed really confused.
"It's not little-"
"Even more reason to have me. I can help you plan and train-"
"Do you know how you can help me? Leaving me alone!" I turned and stormed off causing her to chase after me.
"Why do you hate me so much?!" She yelled.
"Because your annoying!" I yelled back.
"You only just met me and yet you hate me! There's more to it then that".
There was only one place I could escape her. It was a horrible and stinky place, but it was the only way.
I kept fast walking, making fast turns and going down random corridors when I finally reached my destination. The boys toilets.
"Great" I heard her mutter outside the toilets. "You can't stay in there forever you know? Classes are starting soon".
She was of course correct, but did I care? Not really. She should eventually lose interest.
I had accidentally shook off Scorpios on my long run through the school so it was just me in the big room. There were about 10 stalls, and quite a few sinks and then the door that led to the annoying girl. "Still there?" I called.
"Still here" she called back.
"Do you even know how to leave me alone?" I asked walking out of the bathroom.
"No" she shrugged.
"Come on" I grumbled.
She skipped next to me like she had won. "You still haven't answered my question".
"You want to know why I dislike you? You show up here and act like we are friends when you don't even know me. You think that I can just believe your not trying to use me for something, well it doesn't work that way. Everyone wants something from me. Some want me to reassure them that I'm gonna be there for them if Voldemort returns. Others want me to get their grandparents out of askaban. So stop acting like it's an easy choice".
She stood in shock for a second. "I didn't realise how hard it must be for you, but I'm not great at making friends. Do you mind giving me a second chance?"
The sincerity in her voice made me smile. Maybe she wasn't so bad after all.
I stuck out my hand and introduced myself "hi I'm Albus".
She giggled "nice to meet you Albus, I'm Crystal. Can I help you with your impossible and deadly prophecy?"

After classes I decided to write to Zoe to try and make her want to come back.
Hey Zo,
How's home life treating you? I hope your feeling good. I don't know why you left, but I'm sure you had a good reason. Potions just aren't the same without you. Sure, we didn't really sit near each other, but I miss looking behind me and seeing you mock Slughorn. And defence against the dark arts, you would hate our teacher, she physically can't stop smiling.
Flying lessons are starting soon, I know you were looking forward to them. I think it's slytherin and Hufflepuff. Im sure you'd be a natural on the broom.
Please come and save me from Roses persistent theories.
From Albus.
