Ariana's POV

I stay beside Bilbo, hand on my sword as Gandalf walked forward to speak to the dwarf. Ironfoot, also known as Dain the lord of the Iron Hills. "Good morning. How are we all?" Ironfoot asks politely. "I have a wee proposition... if you wouldn't mind giving me a few moments of your time. Would you consider... just sodding off?!" he demands. "All of you, right now" he says.

"Stand fast" Bard tells his men.

"Come now, Lord Dain" Gandalf says.

"Gandalf the grey" he says and Gandalf bows his head slightly in greeting. "Tell this rabble... to leave, or I'll water the ground with their blood" Ironfoot tells him.

"No need for war between Dwarves, Men and Elves. A legion of Orcs march on the Mountain. Stand down" Gandalf tells him.

"I will not stand down before any Elf. Not least this faithless Woodland sprite. He wishes nothing but ill upon my people. If he chooses... to stand between me and my kin I'll split his pretty head open! See if he's still smirking then" Ironfoot states. He has his boar run back to his men as the company in the mountain cheers.

"He's clearly mad, like his cousin" Thranduil states.

"You hear that, lads? We're on! Let's give these bastards a good hammering!" Ironfoot tells his men. Who prepare for battle.

"Stay close to me Bilbo" I tell him and he nods his head. Thranduil has Bard and the men stand down. Saying his army would handle the dwarves. He has them fire arrows, but the dawrves launched a counter attack that shielded them from the arrows and took out some elves.

The fight between elves and dwarves begin. But before either side could lose to many warriors. The orcs arrive on were-worms. The elves and dwarves then start to work together. As they fight the orcs.

Before Bard and his men can join the fight. A second army of orcs appears and heads for the ruined city. Where the innocents of Lake Town are. Gandalf, Bilbo and I go with the army of men to help save the innocent lives. I get separated from Bilbo and Gandalf, as I go to help Bard find his kids.

"Sigrid! Tilda! My children! Where are my children?" Bard asks passing villagers.

"I saw them! They were down in the old market!" someone states.

"The market?" he says. "Where are they now? Tilda! Sigrid!" he shouts.

"We'll find them Bard" I assure him.

"Bard! Orcs are storming over the causeway!" a man shouts.

"Get the bowmen to the eastern parapet. Hold them off as long as you can" Bard orders.

"I'll go with them" I tell him.

"Be-careful" he tells me.

"Just find your children" I tell him.

"Archers, this way!" a man shouts. I nod at Bard and follow the archers. They'll need swordsmen to watch their backs. As we near the causeway, a small group of orcs appear. I kill the first one.

"Get to the parapet, I'll handle this!" I shout.

"You can't handle them alone!" a man shouts.

"No time to argue! Get out of here!" I yell as I stab another orc. "That's an order!" I snap and they leave reluctantly. I was so distracted by the group of orcs in front of me, I didn't see another group coming up behind me. Until I heard seven thuds.

I wipe my head around to see Thranduil. Had killed 6 orcs that had been sneaking up behind me. "Why are you alone?!" he demands.

"I sent the men ahead" I state as I kill the last orc. "Duck" I say grabbing a knife and throw it. He ducks and it enters an orcs skull, killing it. More orcs appear and we go back to back. He takes out two swords. "Whoever kills the most is treated to a dinner made by the loser" I tell him.

He gives me a look and the fight begins. Needless to say Thranduil win, but only because he had two swords. I lean against a wall and catch my breath. "You ok?" he asks.

"I'm fine" I assure him. "Oh no" I say and rush over to his mount. "You poor thing" I say as I stroke it's neck. He is dead. "I am sorry Thranduil" I tell him.

"He fought valiantly" he states. Some of his elves appear. "Recall your company" he orders.

"Thranduil?" I say confused. As the elf sounds a horn. The fight is not over yet. Just then Gandalf appears with Bilbo.

"My lord, dispatch this force to Ravenhill. The Dwarves are about to be overrun. Thorin must be warned" Gandalf states. I hug Bilbo, glad he is alert.

"By all means, warn him. I have spent enough Elvish blood in defense of this accursed land. No more" Thranduil states. "Come Ariana" he says as he starts to leave.

"No" I tell him.

"I'll go" Bilbo volunteers.

"We both will" I state.

"Don't be ridiculous, you both will never make it" Gandalf tells us.

"Why not?" we ask him.

"Because they'll see you both coming and kill you" he states.

"No they won't" Bilbo tells him. "They won't see me" he states.

"Besides, I am to quick for them to kill" I add.

"It's out of the question" Gandalf tells us.

"Agreed" Thranduil says looking at me.

"We aren't asking for either of your permissions!" I snap. "We are going to warn our friends, and you won't stop us" I state. I grab Bilbo's hand and we run. We soon find a horse. I mount it and hold a hand out to Bilbo. He grabs it and I pull him up behind me. "Which way to Ravenhill?" I ask him.

"North" he says pointing.

"Hold on tight" I tell him and he does so. "Yah!" I say and the horse takes off towards the north. I pray we're no to late to save our friends.
