Moving Houses

I ducked down to avoid the object thrown at me. It hit the wall of the kitchen, bouncing off and falling onto the hardwood floor. The tape roller clattered on the ground. "Stop throwing it!" I shouted, taking my hands away from the box that contained our plates, bowls, and glasses, and throwing them down to my sides. "Just hand it to me,"

"Where's the fun in that?" Kakashi smirked, leaning against the counter while keeping his left eye closed. His arms were crossed over his chest and I could tell he was flexing a little bit. His arm muscles were showing a lot, due to the muscle shirt he always wore around the house. He was teasing, but two can play that game.

"I guess that's true," I admitted, reclining my arms to stretch over my head. My orange crop top lifted to right below my boobs, showing off the abs that I had gotten from years of training. I let my arms fall, then turned around and bent over to pick up the tape. I took my sweet time getting back up too. I was holding the tape in a light grip and taped the box up.

Kakashi moved and picked the box up in one arm, moving it toward the door. "I'm gonna miss this house a bit," He muttered, facing away from me and looking at a picture on the wall. I walked over to him, looking at the familiar image. It was a picture from when he was a baby, his mother holding him and his father hugging her from behind. "But if we're gonna start a family we shouldn't start it on the bed I was conceived on."

I smacked his arm. "Don't make me think about that. I mean, your parents were attractive but I don't want that image in my head." I moved away, back into the kitchen to finish packing up the little things we had out. I folded a flat cardboard box into an actual box shape and started wrapping the picture frames in newspaper and setting them into the box.

"So you think my parents are hot?" He asked, walking back over to stand next to me with a questioning glint in his right eye.

"I didn't say that, I think they're attractive." I point a finger in his face. "They had to be good-looking to be able to make that," I tapped his left cheek just below the scar. He chuckled, reaching his hands out to rest them on my hips and pull me lightly into him.

He reached his hands around to hug me around my waist. I sighed, lifting my arms to encircle his neck. He set his chin on the top of my head, as he has just kept getting taller, letting me shift my chin on his shoulder. "I love you," He mumbled into my messy hair. I tilted my head to the right slightly and pressed a kiss onto his neck.

"I love you too," I whispered into his skin. I felt him relax. That was nice. Most couples' first 'I love you is after a nice date or an anniversary. But ours was when we were moving houses, having fun in our way, and moving from one family's home to another. It was just us at this current moment, but I could feel that it would get bigger.

Kakashi moved his arms lower, wrapping his arms around my thighs, beckoning me to jump up so he could hold me closer. I followed his suggestion, wrapping my legs around his hips. "You mean it?" He questioned, his voice soft.

"Of course, it's been two and half years," I whispered, leaning down to rest my forehead on his. "September 14th, 1973. That was the day you got me to fall."

"I could get you to fall right now," He teased, letting his grip go loose. I fell a couple of centimeters before he grabbed me again.

"Funny," I muttered, leaning down to kiss him. His body turned and set me on the counter, moving his hands up to grip my waist. I moved my hands up, closing my eyes and threading my right hand through his gravity-defying hair.

He pressed his tongue into my mouth, lacing it with my own. Then a knock sounded on the door. We separated ourselves from each other and I opened my eyes. Kakashi rolled him and walked toward our bedroom to get ready.

I walked toward the door and opened it, revealing Asuma, Kurenai, and Gai. "Hey," Asuma greeted, taking a drag from his cigarette. "How's packing been?"

"We have most of it done," I stated, slightly pissed about the interruption. I opened the door wide to let them in and they took their shoes off. "Mainly just some furniture that we're keeping that we need help with."

"You're not keeping the house?" Kurenai asked. Gai was awkwardly quiet, it was unusual.

"Of course we are," I clarified. "We just think it would be better if we got a place that was just our own. Not his parent's, not my grandmother's. Hitomi and Kakashi's place."

"I like the sound of that," Kakashi said, leaning against the wall.

"KAKASHI!" Gai yelled, his personality coming back into his body.

Kakashi's visible eye twitched in annoyance but he let Gai be himself. He had put his headband over his left eye and put his undershirt under his tank top, having the mask cover the lower half of his face.

A lot had changed about the house within the past day and a half, it was mostly empty. The dogs were being taken care of by an Inuzuka and we had packed everything in the house. All that was left were the boxes we packed and the furniture.

The new house wasn't too big, just having two bedrooms and three bathrooms. The bottom floor opened with a large kitchen and dining room, with a living room a floor over. One of the bathrooms was on this floor. The bedrooms were on the second floor, with the other two bathrooms in each one.

After a day our friends helped us move our stuff, and we settled into our new house.
