"Mom, this way!" Minato yelled, pulling on my hand as we walked through the empty house that I once lived in. "I found this picture of you and Uncle Obito."

"Oh, you did," I commented, knowing that he was just excited and that he would remember that I couldn't see it. "Take it out of the frame, there should be a date on the back."

"There is," He gasped, the sound of a flipping page echoing the otherwise silent house. "February 10th, 1968. Mom, how old were you in this?"

"Your uncle Obito and I were ten, it was our tenth birthday."

"How old are you now?"

"I'm twenty-four, but you should never ask a lady her age."

"Why not?"

"I don't know, it's just something people say." I turned around, hoping I was in the room I thought I was in. "What kinds of things are in this room?"

"There's paintings on the walls of the Fireball Lake and the Naka River, there's tons of scrolls and stuff. There are some kunai sets on the desk. And there's a sword too."

So we were in my old room. I walked toward the outer wall, reaching up in the general direction of the sword I had stopped using. I hesitated, not wanting to cut myself, but eventually, I felt the blunt end of the blade.

I slipped my hand down, tracing the end of the blade until my fingers brushed against the hilt. I gripped around the textured leather, taking the slightly heavy blade off the wall. "Minato, take this from me."

Minato walked toward me, his hands touching mine that held the sword. I slowly let go, hearing a small noise from my son as the weight took hold. The blade crashed to the ground, clattering as just barely missed my foot. "Well, you're still a little young. But I'll give it to you when you graduate from the academy."

"But, that'll take forever!" He complained, but I just shook my head. "How long did it take you and Dad?"

"A year," I muttered, picking the sword up once it stopped wobbling. "It took us a year."

"Why? Don't most people graduate when they are twelve?"

"We did a project on a historical figure for our studies, then did a test to show that we were advanced in Jutsu."

"What did you do for your project?" I held the sword in my hand, going toward the door of my old room.

"Myoko Senju," I answered, running my hand over the hallway as I walked away. I went down the stairs, Minato following shortly after. Then I was in the large open living room, walking forward until Minato grabbed my pant leg, tugging me away from a wall.

Minato held my hand as we left our house, just having dropped off the sword. Kakashi was on an A-rank for the week, leaving the two of us alone. We walked in silence for a while, heading toward the Academy building.

I could feel the intense hurricane of chakra from not too far away, Naruto was close. But I couldn't talk to him, not at all.

The sounds of the bustling crowd, parents of students who were all Minato's age. I stood in line, waiting for us to be called.

I sat next to a couple and their two children. From sensing their chakra, they were twins. But the most peculiar thing, the chakra of one of the two parents was familiar.

The mother was unfamiliar, her chakra extremely light and airy, but having only the minimum to survive. She was a civilian. But the father had an extreme amount of chakra. The harsh lighting was familiar, the chakra of my old captain, Falcon.

He didn't say anything, not even to his partner or children, so I decided to start the conversation.

"Having a good morning?" I asked, turning my head slightly so I didn't freak anyone out. "I'd say 'nice to see you,' but I can't."

"Ra-Hitomi," Falcon corrected himself. "You don't know my name, do you?"

"No,"

"Masaru Sakamoto," He stuck his hand in my direction.

I shook it. "Hitomi Hatake. This is my son, Minato."

"Nice to meet you, Sakamoto." Minato was kind, and respectful for once. I hate to say it, but he did act a lot like Obito.

"This is my wife, Kimiko, and our kids Moriko and Mitsuo." He introduced.

"I'd introduce my husband, but he's on a mission." Then something clicked in my brain, "How come you went to my wedding, but I didn't go to yours."

"Oh, we eloped." His wife, Kimiko, informed. "We didn't want a big celebration or anything, not since we didn't have any friends and our families either moved countries or died in the War." Her voice was soft, kind. She was a large contrast away from Masaru's harshness.

"I understand, the only reason my husband and I had a big wedding was because the matron of my clan insisted and Lord Fifth wanted us to since we were both War heroes." I softly smiled, as my surname was called. I stood up, waving kindly to the couple, and then took Minato's hand. He guided me down the hallway and into a room.

"Hitomi Hatake, correct?" A man asked, sitting down in front of me. His chakra was warm, but not like fire. More like earth, more of a kind of warm than a fierce warm.

"Yes," I confirmed, crossing my arms and slouching back.

"And you're Minato," The man wrote something down. "I'm Azuki, I'll be your sensei for the next few years. Here's something for you to sign."

"Oh, I can't sign anything, at least not until my husband gets back," I explained. "Unless you read it to me."

"Is there a reason?"

"Mom's blind." Minato's voice was as harsh as a five-year-old could be. I reached my hand over to his shoulder and rubbed it, attempting to calm him down.

"Oh, my apologies." He cleared his throat. "I, the guardian of Minato Hatake, swear that I will appropriately guide my child with his/her skill level. I understand that my child must learn at an appropriate level and not outpace his/her classmates."

I took the brush handed to me, tracing my hand over the page. Minato guided my right hand toward the line, then let go when I reached it. I signed my name to the best of my ability. I had memorized my signature when I first went blind, but the 'Hatake' part I wasn't so sure of. Kakashi always signed things for the two of us.

I handed the brush back to Azuki, standing up and leaving the room. Minato held my hand, guiding me around the building.

We left quickly and then went back home. Now to wait for him to start school.
