Chapter 22 (Fishy Intrigues in the Mist Kingdom)

Two cat-people from the Mist Kingdom were going for a walk.

Their only focus was on each other.

It was a nice day, but it felt like this was going to change.

???: I wish we could spend more time together! I miss you in the Medicine Bay!

????????: Yes, I know but it makes times like this more worth it.

They were looking for a nice place to relax but it was hard.

A patrol could find them together at any moment.

????????: I don't know Pin maybe we should just go back and find another time to do this.

The brown-haired cat-girl suggested but Pin was not having this.

Even though they were roommates they didn't want to risk being close inside the inner kingdom.

So Pin was not willing to give this up.

Stubbornly Pin kept on walking to find a spot.

Analyzing every detail about their surrounding locations and adding up the factors.

It was not looking that good for them.

Even Pin was starting to lose hope about finding a spot.

But then she found something, something bad.

Pin stood back and revealed to their love what they had just seen.

Courtney was just as surprised as Pin and neither of them knew what to do.

The Mist Kingdom Healer stood forward again and grabbed it.

A fish battered and bloody.

The fish looked like a Snow Kingdom one.

It reeked but the smell of the island Kingdom still seeped the air.

It must have been them.

Courtney: We need to report this to Chris right away!

They nodded and the pair ran into the Kingdom.

Their panic must have been noticed because the whole Kingdom went livid and they all noticed what was going on.

The Leader Chris saw this and went up to the pair.

Chris: Pin, Courtney, what is going on?

The black-haired Healer handed the fish to their leader.

Pin: We were patrolling the border when we found this fish! It came from the Snow Kingdom!

Chris scowled he went to the meeting point of the Kingdom and he didn't even need to announce a meeting for all the cat-people to gather around.

Normally Chris would be impressed by this but he was too frustrated to think.

He lifted the fish high to show all of the Kingdom.

Chris: It seems like the Snow Kingdom has made a joke out of us!

He threw the fish onto the ground.

The whole Kingdom started to talk about what happened and Chris could not speak over them.

After a few seconds, he had enough.

Chris: SILENCE!

Chris: This will not be tolerated. We must go to battle!

??????: YEAH! LETS FIGHT THOSE FISH BRAINS!

Chris admired the young warriors' courage and nodded.

Chris: I will take a group of warriors to battle with me! I will need some to stay to guard the inner Kingdom and I need a group to stay with the rogues!

He did not stay to be questioned and he walked up to Pin and Courtney.

Chris: Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Chris: Courtney, I want you to join the battle against Snow Kingdom.

Courtney nodded and ran off to get ready to battle.

Pin was expecting Chris to leave but it seemed like he had plans for the Healer.

Chris: Pin I want you to join the group going to stay with the rogues. I don't know how long the battle will last but they must be protected from any attacks.

Chris could not wait for Pin's answer and he went off.

Chris: Stay there Pin! I will get the others!

It felt like forever but Chris came back with the rest of the group.

Alice, A black-haired Warrior

Gwen, A blue-haired Warrior

Ella, A black-haired Healer

Pete, A silver-haired elder

Gerry, A white-haired elder

Jay, A brown-haired kid

Mickey, Another brown-haired kid

Junior, A blond-haired kid

Was this the group?

The only ones who could protect the Rogues would be Alice and Gwen.

But Pin knew that Chris had his reasons.

Chris: Please travel safe! I trust you!"

It did not take long to reach the rouges and a white-haired she cat was waiting for them.

Her tail was dyed pink and she had a sweet and soft look.

Butterscotch: Hello, Kingdom cats. Chris told me you would be coming. Let me show you to your rooms.

She showed Junior, Mickey, Jay, Gerry, and Pete to their rooms and then took Alice, Gwen, Pin, and Ella into a single room.

It looked like it used to belong to a young cat and it had baby stuff in it still.

But it was changed and had four beds in it.

Butterscotch: I am sorry that you four will have to share rooms.

The rogue she-cat apologized but they all agreed that it would be alright.

Butterscotch smiled and left the four to get ready.

None of them knew what was going on and the ancestors hadn't told Pin or Ella anything just yet.
