Chapter 20: Eric

"So do you wanna start talking or shall I love, I'm not trying to pressure you, but you showed up at my door drunk with some guy and both of you were drenched "

"That guy is Eric as you already know, he's a diver, I've known him since I was little, I met him when I was 9 or 10 at a meet in Sydney. I haven't talked to him in a long time but I saw him in Austin because he was also judging there."

"So why was he here now?"

"He was participating in the meet today."

"Last night when I was walking around, I stumbled across the outdoor pool and saw little kids diving, after watching them for a while, it made me realize how much I missed it. So after the meet I walked around and saw a club, I decided to go in and see what it's like. There I got a drink, not wanting to get waisted, but I felt sadder when I was buzzed, so a got a few more drinks. I was absolutely wasted and bumped into him on accident, luckily he saw how drunk I was and told me I should go home. However I didn't want to go, so he tried calling Daniel, but I begged him not to. That's when I called you instead."

"So why'd we're both of y'all drenched in water?"

"I started running away from him, and I went in and started swimming into the sea, he ended up dragging me out. At that point I willingly agreed to go home though, because I was starting to cry, I came to terms with where my life's at. And then I was here at the hotel in your arms."

"I'm glad you told me everything, but you should have called me, you know you can always share how your feeling with me" "I know Lan I just wasn't think straight, I let my emotions get the best of me, I'm sorry." "There's no need to say sorry to me Bri, you didn't do anything wrong" feeling like he still had his concerns I told him nothing was going on with Eric and I just for reassurance. 
He reached his hand out and we walked to the hotel together hand in hand. 

When we got there, Lando put his suit out where he could see it, needing to remember to take it to the dry cleaners, for the driver's dinner tomorrow. I started doing my skin care routine and hoped into bed with a good book to read, meanwhile Lando went into the bathroom. When he came out he asked me to go to the right said of the bed "Why, I always sleep on the left?" "Because I want to be between you and the door" "You know I won't make a run for it at night right?" "I know you won't, you'd be too slow, I'd catch you before you can make it down to the lobby" "Is that a challenge Norris?" "Only if you make it one, love" He came out and pined me, then I managed I roll over and reverse our positions. I leaned down getting closer to him, so I could whisper "I think you've been watching to much Dateline love" Lando then picked me up and pushed me back down so now I was the one under him again, then he whispered "Just go to sleep love. You won't be getting anything out of me after that tonight." But I knew he couldn't resist so I pulled his shirt's collar down and dragged him onto me starting to make out viciously. 

When I woke, my leg was stretched out over poor Lando, I decided I wanted to do something nice for him today after everything he's done for me the past few days. I figured a cute little breakfast in bed would be nice. I ordered some pancakes and a whole bunch of other breakfast items and set them up on plates and everything making it look nice and cute.

When Lando woke up, he woke up surprised. "Bri what's all this?" "Breakfast in bed I figured it'd be nice since you're normally out before I wake up"
"Are those pancakes?" "You guessed it" "God I love you"

Did he actually say I love you?! Did he just say it because of the food or did he actually mean it?! I don't know what to say?!

He looked at me realizing what he said, "Sorry Bri I didn't mean to be so straight forward, I'm really not trying to scare you away, ...but I do love you" This fool thinks HE could scare me away, I could never leave him, "Lando I love you too" we both ditched breakfast in bed and started making out passionately having another copy of what happened last night.

Once our alarms went off we had to get ready to go, both not wanting to stop what we'd started. When we got to the track, I went to Red Bull and he went to McLaren. When I walked into Red Bull my brother wasn't there, I asked Max if he knew where he was and he said he didn't" I figured he was walking around somewhere, so I got to work reviewing content.

It was around lunch time and I still hadn't seen my brother, but I did see a notification from insta saying he posted something.

I went to open it and saw Daniel eating lunch with Eric. Why would he do that, god I hate him for that...

Just then Lando texted me asking what I'd want for  lunch, I told him to get me whatever he got. We met up in his drivers room and ate our lunch in peace.

We were almost done with our food when Daniel walked in, "Bri, Lando nice to see you guys, I brought back pastries form this restaurants I was at. Figured I'd share since they're really fricking good" "Save me some for later please, I need to go back to Red Bull" "Oh I'll just walk with you then, I need to go into the sim to practically for qualifying tomorrow" "Fine by me"  then Lando chimed in "Hey Daniel actually can you stay back for a bit I wanted talk to you" "Sure" knowing my break was about to end, I couldn't stay. But I was dying to know what Lando had to talk about.

"Hey Daniel can I ask you about Bri and Eric?"
"What about it mate?"
"Should I be worried?" "No of course not, I mean you know they used to date but that's all in the past. I just had lunch with him actually since he was in town, and he never once brought her up, I wouldn't worry." "They WHAT?!"
"Oh you didn't know?" "No Bri never told me"
"She doesn't like to talk about it, they didn't really end on good terms." "Well they sure seemed like they were when I saw them together!" "I mean people do say time heals everything, either way she probably didn't want you to worry. Trust me you're the only dude she wants"

Who would have guessed she had a thing with Eric? Now I didn't like this guy before, but  I absolutely hate him .  And why wouldn't she tell me they had a thing? I mean I understand her not wanting me to think more of it but isn't her not telling me doing so either way?
