Chapter 27: Surprise

"What are you guys doing here!, and wasn't your plane supposed to land here tomorrow? As soon as I'm done with my shower your gonna start yapping Daniel, you have a lot to explain"
I went back to finish rinsing out the shampoo that was left in my hair, worried about seeing Lando again. Once I got out, I went to "my room" and got dressed in a set of oversized sweats. I walked out of the room trying to mentally prepare myself, and made my way back to the kitchen to start asking questions.

"So why are you here so soon, and why is Lando with you?" "Well we were set to get here tomorrow, but Netflix decided to send us for their golf tournament, so we caught a flight back today instead. And In my defense I tried calling but you weren't answering."

"You could have shot me a heads up when you were on your way to the house at least, I thought someone was breaking in." "You're right my bad Bri"

The whole time Lando was staring at me, he decided to excuse himself, and went to the guest bedroom which happened to be right next to mine. The whole situation was awkward and the room was filled in weird tension.

I started whisper shouting at Daniel as soon as Lando shut the guest bedroom's door, "Why is he here with you, are you out of your mind?!" "His hotel reservation wasn't until the day after tomorrow, what was I supposed to do" "Get him a different hotel room!" "Bri there's crazy fans everywhere" he had a valid point so I dropped everything and went to bed it's only one night after all and we are all adults here I should be able to handle this.

I went to my room and laid down, It was weird to think that Lando was just one wall away. I tried going to sleep for hours on end but I couldn't. I looked at my phone and saw that it was almost 1 in the morning, so I got up and went to kitchen to get some water, or at the very least search for some melatonin gummies.  

When I got there I saw someones shadow in the corner, flickered the light on and found Lando leaning against the counter, holding a glass of water. "Can't sleep either?" He asked as if nothing had happened between us, "Ya, you too huh?" "Ya" we stood in silence for a while, then I reached out to get a glass out of the shelf right behind him. He moved aside, and started to speak "Bri, you know I'm sorry for not trusting you, I've been mad at myself for it." "What's that going to do now Norris?" "Nothing, and I don't expect it too, but I at least had to say something. When you left, I spiraled, I never meant to kiss that girl she came onto me. I will say I should have pushed her off right away but in that moment I just wanted some comfort, I wanted it to be you kissing me, and as selfish as this sounds I wanted payback"

"Lando you shouldn't be explaining yourself" "Only I am" I left the glass on the counter, and was about to walk out, entirely done with this conversation when he grabbed onto my arm keeping me from leaving. He was about to say something, start apologizing more I'm assuming, but I didn't want to hear anymore from him. I went in and kissed him thinking it'd be the only thing that would shut him up, and also because I couldn't hold off any more, the tension was all around the air.

I was going to stop, it was my plan to stop, but I couldn't. I couldn't bring my lips off his, and I don't think he could either. I hopped on the counter top making it easier for him to kiss me, not having to hunch over.

After a good while, he picked me up and brought me over to his room, "What if Daniel hears us"
"He's on the other end of the house probably sound asleep, he's a deep sleeper"...
