I woke up groaning and stretched my body only to roll out of the sofa and fall on the ground..
I heard a sweet laughing voice and opened my one eye and looked at her, she was laughing while sitting infront of the mirror and combing her hairs..
I huffed and again closed my eyes, sleeping on the floor..
A few minutes later I heard the door opening and closing and I peeked through my eyes all over the room, there was no sight of her..
How rude, didn't even asked me to get up..
Sighing I got up and groaned at the pain on my back..
After freshening up and getting ready I left my room and went downstairs, upon noticing me Maa frowned
"Where do you think, you are going young man?" Maa asks keeping her hands on her waist and I blink
"School, obviously Maa.." I replied and she pulled my ear
"You are not going anywhere today, and go to outskirts devi temple with Bondita and take Maa Durga's blessing.." she said
"But..." I tried to reason and my Maa twisted my ear causing me to whine
"No buts.." she said glaring
"Alright, Maa atleast don't ruin my image infront of my wife, please..." I whispered whining and she left my ears smiling triumphantly
I rolled my eyes and rubbing my red ears entered to the dining room where Dhani was busy gobbling down the parathas in her casuals..
"Do you have holiday today Dhani?" I asked sitting on the chair
"No Bhai.." she replied and sipped on her tea
"Then why aren't you wearing your uniform?" I asked raising my brows and looked up when Bondita who just came out of the kitchen started serving me and Maa
"Because I am not going.." she said shrugging and took the paratha from my plate
"And why is that?" I asked her as Bondita sat beside me and again kept a paratha on my plate
"Because I don't want to go and before you start nagging me I have already taken Maa's permission.." she said proudly and finished her breakfast patting her fat stomach
"Well you are going to school, now go and get ready and before you say anything Maa, let me tell you your daughter has successfully failed all the exams so yeah you can't stop me from sending her school.." I declared and Dhani's lips wobbled as she looked at Maa pleadingly but Maa just shrugged
"Bhabhi, please I don't wanna go.." she pleaded looking at Bondita showing her crocodile tears
I looked at Bondita who looked at Dhani pouting and then turned towards me to try convince me but I gave her one stern look and she sighed helplessly and focused on her breakfast..
"Go and get ready Dhani.." I said sternly and stomping her feet she rushed to her room, I rolled my eyes at her drama
Just then the door bell rang and Bondita was about to stand up when I held her hand and made her sit back down and left to open the door..
Not before adoring the red tint capturing her face
Opening the door I frowned at the boy who was grinning holding a rose but as soon as he saw me his grin fell and he hid the rose behind his back
"What are you doing here?" I asked him and he entered inside without my permission and sat down on the dinning table
"Hello aunty, hello little sis.." Vansh said grinning and started having breakfast while here I stood looking at them blankly as my maa and wife got busy feeding the years hungry man
"Why are you here?" I asked him again sitting on my chair
"Aunty called me.." he said and took away my paratha once again
'nashta Naseeb hi nhi Hai Aaj mere..'
'breakfast is not in my fate today..'
"Why?" I asked irritatedly looking at Maa and saw Bondita frowning from my peripheral vision so I immediately changed my expression
"He will drop Dhani to school, I knew you will somehow convince me to send Dhani to school and since you are going to the temple with Bondita I called him to drop Dhani.." Maa explained and Bondita again kept a paratha on my plate, I smiled at her and she looked away blushing
"I could have dropped Dhani and then come back and take Bondita to temple Maa.." I said and looked at Dhani who came downstairs sulking and pouting wearing her uniform
"Let's go.." she said with a small voice
"Let's go.." Vansh said standing up from the chair with mouth full and I sighed in disgust
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Suddenly Dhani screeched angrily startling all of us and I looked at her as she glared at Vansh
"I know you spit fire out of that mouth fireball, don't need to scream.." Vansh said teasingly and walked out of the house
"Maa I am not going with him.." Dhani said glaring at his retreating figure
"Beta, Go, just for today.." Maa said and gritting her teeth she walked out of the house throwing one of her shoe on Vansh's back who groaned
"Is there something I don't know, Bondita?" I asked her raising my brows and she gulped not looking at me before taking a sip of the burning tea
"Ahh.." she hissed as her tongue burned and I panicked trying to get her water only for the whole glass of water to fall on her lap
"Oh my god, Anirudh beta tu kuch mat kar.." Maa said and helped Bondita in drinking the cold water to reduce the burning
(Anirudh son, you don't do anything..)
After that Bondita left to change her clothes and my mother smacked my head
"Pehle hi din tu uss bechari ko pareshan kar rha hai..tu kunwara hi thik tha.." Maa said and left, while I sighed rubbing my face
(You are troubling her on the first day itself..you were better off alone..)
'Good going Anirudh...' my subconscious voice said sarcastically and I groaned keeping my head on the table
