The piano sounds died down as tears streamed down the goddess' face. She wiped away her tears as she looked up. The team were watching her with wide eyes. They had never heard her sing before so they were absolutely surprised by her amazing voice.
"Artemis..." Was all Wally could say before Artemis ran out of the room, tears streaming down her face again.
"Wait!" They all cried out, following her. But Dinah and Oliver blocked there path.
"She just needs time right now, that song is really hard for her to sing." Ollie said softly.
"Why? It's a great song! And she singing is amazing!" M'gann exclaimed.
"She wrote that song two weeks ago, when her mother got diagnosed with stage 3 cancer." Dinah said, guiding them to the kitchen table.
"Then why doesn't her boyfriend help her?" Zatanna asked confused.
"Cameron? Oh, her father forced her to date him for his work. She's tried many times to end things with him, but he won't let her dump him." Dinah said.
Wally gaped at her, horrified at the new information. He would never admit it but he cared deeply for the goddess.
"Why can't she just file a police report?" He asked.
"He always finds out and ends up doing something horrifying." Artemis said showing up out of nowhere, scaring everyone half to death.
"Like what?" Conner said, everyone turned to him surprised he spoke.
"Uh, he either forces me to do it, or he slaps me and stuff or both." She said shuddering.
"Oh my god! Artemis that's f****** illegal!" Wally cried mortified.
"Don't you think I know that! I can't stop him! There's nothing you can do! Nothing any of you guys can do! He won't quit till he gets what he wants!" She shouted, as a couple tears came streaming down.
Everyone stood up and hugged the archer.
"We will help you through this Artemis." Robin whispered in her ear.
"Thanks," She smiled at them.
"I just have to say, you sing amazingly!" M'gann screamed, making Artemis chuckle slightly.

They end up taking Cam to jail. Wally and Art start dating on New Years. Artemis writes happier songs now. Her dad goes to prison. Yay!
