Stella takes a deep breath as she walks over to the blazing fire. She could hear everyone talking. Something about so many people talking and laughing made Stella feel weird.
She walks closer to the fire. She could feel the heat, it felt nice. Almost like it was welcoming her.
???: Is that her?
????: It's been a while since we had a new person here.
???: Do you think she'll stay?
????: I hope. It's kinda refreshing.
Hayden: Stella! (Her brother waves his head.)
Stella looks at her brother. She recognized the boy who opened the door for her next to him. Cassidy and Alexander were also next go him.
Cassidy: Come here. (She motions for Stella to come)
Stella walks over to the four familiar faces. She could still hear the whispers and gossip as she makes her way to her brother and her saviours.
Alexander: You nervous? (He looks at the young girl)
Stella: A little bit. Just not used to this many people.
Cassidy: Really? Weren't you a part of a big group before?
Stella: The most we had at once was about 14 maybe 15. This is way more than that.
Hayden: Sis, everyone here is really nice. They're really excited to meet you. Dad wanted to be the one to introduce you, but he's kinda busy with some things. So I'll introduce you if you want.
Stella: Alright. I'm ready.
Hayden: Alright then. (He stands up and claps his hands a few times gaining everyone's attention) Hello everyone. We have a new person here today. She's actually my sister. (He motions for Stella to stand up which she does.) Go ahead and introduce yourself. Don't have to tell them everything if your not ready (he whispers)
Stella: Uh. Hi. I'm Stella. I'm 13 and I've never been around this many people in my life.
???: How long have you been out there for?
Stella: Uh well. Since the beginning. So six years. I was with my mom and this man, Nolan. He saved us.
????: What happened to them? Of you don't mind me asking.
Stella: Well. My mom got bit and I couldn't find Nolan so I left. I found Nolan again later but... He died a few days afterwards.
?????: How did you survive out there?
Stella: A lot of people took care of me. There was Pete, Luke, Nolan, Carlos, Rebecca, Jessica, Bonnie, Kenny... Most of them died. Jessica... She was like a mom to me, but she left to find her people. The only one left was Kenny, along with three others. There was Natalie, Clementine, and baby AJ. They were basically my siblings.
