Stella has been walking back and forth in the room for what seems like forever. She began losing track of time after a while. The only thoughts that had been crossing her mind was thoughts of her mom, thoughts of Clementine, of Natalie, of all the people she has lost. She hated this. She hated the fact that being in here basically forced her to think.
Stella jumps at the sound of the door unlocking. The door opens and her dad is standing in the doorframe. He looks at Stella and takes a step inside the room.
Andrew: Stella. You're smarter than I thought.
Stella: What's that supposed to mean?
Andrew: It means that I didn't expect you to be this smart when you arrived. You know (he steps inside the room, closing the door behind him) when I came to terms that you, your mom, and sister were gone, I lost a part of me. I was a horrible father, right?
Stella: Well, you were always at work. Never home. Mom was forced to do everything. She had to take me and my sister to school and back home. She had to cook, clean the house, buy groceries and so much more. Everytime she'd talk to you about helping her, you'd tell the same thing over and over again, 'I'm too busy with work.'
Andrew: I was! I worked hard to be able to even give your mother money. Without my job we would have been poor!
Stella: You missed souch of me and Esther's life. My school plays, Esther's fun day, my birthdays, you even missed Esther's birth! How is work more important than your own daughters birth!?
Andrew: Stella (his voice is filled with warning) I did everything I could to keep this family together.
Stella: And how did that work out? Oh right, you and mom fought almost everyday when you were seven home, and not to mention, the day everything happened, you were supposed to come home early that day. I was going to stay home with you, but you didn't come home, instead, mom had to take me with her, I forgot my something and we had to go back home. If you would have come home early, I wouldn't have forgotten my things and mom could have been with Esther.
Andrew: (he steps closer to Stella) Are you blaming me?
Stella: Yes. Everything is your fault! You put mom in so much pain. She was stressed! (A tear rolls down her cheek)
Andrew: (he steps closer to where he was now directly in front of Stella) Stella. I will not sit here and allow you to blame me for this. Stella, you sit here saying I'm the bad one, but you're the one who shot her.
Stella: (tears begin spilling down her cheeks) I had to. She was bit. She... She would have came back.
Andrew: (he shakes his head) You're a murderer Stella. How many others have you killed huh? What about that one person, what was his name, Nolan? Did you murder him too?
Stella: Stop. (Stella cries)
Andrew: What about the rest. That baby's mom, you killed her? That Luke dude? How about that girl Jane? You killed them huh? (He shoves Stella's shoulder)
Stella looks up at her father, tears streaming down her cheeks before falling and splashing onto the dry concrete floor. This wasn't her father anymore. He was different.
