Stella was sweeping the kitchen area when she noticed movement out of the corner of her eyes. Curiously, she places the makeshift broom down and quietly walks over to where she saw the movement.

It was an area behind the main building where her fathers office was. What could possibly be behind here that someone has to sneak around? Stella sneaks a peak around the corner of the building and doesn't see anyone except for one of these basement doors.

Stella looks around to make sure no one was near her before sneaking her way towards the basement doors. Something tells Stella that opening this door is probably not the best idea, but when was the last time she listened to her gut?

Stella takes a deep breath and grips the basement doors. She tugs at them and is surprised when they open easily. She looks inside the dark stairway and once she gathers enough courage, she makes her way down stairs.

The basement was dark and musky. Stella could feel the dampness cling onto her skin. It was also pretty hot from the heat outside. Stella sneaks her way down the steps and into a room. She looks around and sees a few pieces of furniture and tools.

There is a door in front of her. She quietly opens the door and peeks inside. From the crack, she could see a dark hallway. Her curiousity gets the best of her and she opened the door all the way. The smell of sweat and blood hits her nose like a truck. She brings her hand to her nose.

She walks inside the ball and is shocked when she sees rows and rows of cages and cells. What's worse is that there aren't only people in the cells, but there are also walkers in the cages and some of the cells. Her eyes water and she stares shocked. What the hell was this? Did her father know about this?

???: Hey... Girl.

Her attention turns to where the voice came from. A boy in one of the cells. He has long brown hair that looks like it hasn't been washed or brushed in years. He has blood dripping from his nose and head. He looks like he has been through hell.

Stella: (She steps over to the cell where the boy is) Are you ok? You're bleeding badly.

???: (The boy chuckles and smiles) Yeah I'm good. You're the first person besides the regulars that I've seen in here.

Stella: What is this place? Why is there people locked in here?

???: First, let me introduce myself. My name is Elijah, or Eli. This place (he motions to the basement) is where people who speak out against the leader goes.

Stella: What do you mean? Go against the leader? Why would you go against my dad?

Elijah: Your dad? (He nods in understanding) I see, you're Andrew's daughter. He spoke a lot about you. Well, you see, your dad has a certain way of dealing with people. He doesn't listen to the citizens, he likes control. Once someone challenges his control, he deals with them by throwing them in here to suffer.

Stella: Really? He sends people here? Why hasn't none of the citizens said anything?

Elijah: They're scared. Your dad is one scary man.

Stella: So, my dad throws people in here for going against him? (Stella scoffs) How long have you been in here for?

Elijah: (he looks at the wall behind him) 3 years? I think.
