It's Friday, Aurora was cleared for school and so Bumblebee took her when he picked up Raf, and the guardians had just returned to base only to find June spending her day off in the human area, doing some online shopping.

"What're you doing?" Bulkhead asked, peering down at the mother.

"Shopping, Jack asked me to pick something out for Aurora's birthday." June answered.

"Birthday?" Bulkhead asked.

"Creation cycle." Ratchet translated, not looking up from his task.

Bulkhead's derma formed into an 'O'at that, before becoming even more interested.

"How old will she be?" Arcee asked.

"Nineteen. It's the birthday she finally gets everything her mother and father left for her, and when she finds out just who her father really was." June says, clicking on a soft pastel orange metal water bottle.

"What do you mean?" Arcee asked.

June was silent for a moment. "Aurora and Jack are the only ones who don't know who Aurora's father was. Or why he was killed." June says quietly, making all of the autobots look at her in confusion.

"Just how long have Jack and Aurora been close?" Ratchet spoke up, cerulean optics rotating and dilating in wonder.

"Me and Aurora's mother were best friends in middle and high school, and I babysat her when Marina would be away with Aurora's father." June said.

June was being vague whenever mentioning Aurora's father, almost like it would betray a long kept secret.

"Aurora and Jack were always super close, even though she's two years older than him. I think they dated briefly in middle school, but Jack won't confirm or deny it.

I can still remember the day Aurora got a broken nose protecting Jack, and the first time Jack ever got suspended because some kid smacked Aurora's ass. He was so firey." June said, chuckling.

"In a way, Jack is Optimus and Aurora is Ratchet. Just not as romantic." June says, and both bots look away slightly flustered.

"Don't look so surprised or flustered. Everyone knows." June says with a chuckle.

"Though, I do ask that if any of you develop feelings for her, that you don't play with her. She's not stupid. She's quite intelligent, especially when it comes to emotions.

I can tell you right now she's already picked all of you apart mentally and emotionally and figured out what makes you react and what your mental limits are." With that, June turns back to her laptop.

"She's not someone to fuck with."

Bumblebee zoomed in, Raf and the other two already in the human area but the small boy perked up and nearly flew off the platform as the young scout came to a fast stop and the driver door popped open, a carefree Aurora jumping out clad in dark navy blue scrubs.

She's quickly tackled by Raf, the sight able to warm even the coldest hearts. Aurora chuckled and patted his head. "Hey kiddo. How was school?" Aurora asked.

"Good, Vince left me alone today." Raf said, going on to describe a few details about his day as Aurora watched and chatted animatedly with him.

"Aurora! Did you pass!?" Miko asked quite loudly.

"Pass?" Arcee asked.

Aurora opened her bookbag, slowly pulling out a folded up piece of paper.

"Come read for yourself!" Aurora shouted at the teen.

Miko jumped down the stairs and bolted for Aurora, quickly snatching the folded paper and opening it, reading thoroughly.

Miko's brown eyes bugged out, and her jaw dropped before she pushed her fist into the air, jumping up with a shout of excitement.

"Yes!! And on the first try!?!" Miko looked as excited as Aurora felt.

Aurora nodded in excitement. "What's your secret? I've been trying to teach Miko to drive for months." Bulkhead asks, looking exasperated.

"I've always been naturally good with machines and vehicles. I was driving at 10." Aurora flaunts.

"Show off." Miko grumbles.

Aurora simply grabs her bags and heads towards the bathroom of the base, flipping Miko off as she goes.
