Aurora gnawed at her knuckles, anxiety crawling down her spine. It was monday night, her Jack and June were taking Tuesday off from school and work for her birthday, but as Aurora sat in her new bedroom with the light off and the tv playing quietly from her dresser, something didn't feel right.

She pulled up Bumblebee's com number on her phone, thumb hovering over the call button as she sat and listened, using her remote to mute the tv. A text from Jack popped onto the top half of her phone screen.

'Someone just flashed a light through my window, are you okay?' The text read, and as she tapped the reply button, a light flashed into her room. And stayed there.

'The light is in my room now. If things get ugly call Optimus.' And with that, Aurora turned her phone on silent and laid it face down. She slowly uncovered herself and laid flat on her bed, doing so at the right moment as her bedroom window slid open.

The person hovers over Aurora after launching not so gracefully into her room. A lamp fell to the floor and shattered on the hardwood floor and Aurora knew Jack would be calling Optimus soon.

Aurora launched herself at the intruder, desperate to keep them away from June at all costs. Her cold slender fingers wrapped around the persons throat, squeezing mercilessly and throwing her body weight onto the intruder.

They knock into her dresser, which tips it over and creates a loud noise, most likely waking June up, and after squeezing their throat long enough their grip slackens and the intruder falls to the floor with a thud. Someone grasps Aurora's shoulder and she whirls around, mismatched eyes blown wide open as she grabs the persons wrist and twists it painfully, using her foot to kick at their knees.

They dodge the blow to their knees and instead wrap their arms around Aurora after breaking from her hold. "Aurora, it's okay, you're safe." She knew that deep, baritone voice.

"O..Optimus..?" She asked, her chest rising and falling rapidly.

"Yes, it's okay." Optimus says.

A man with dark skin burst in, seeing a distressed Aurora being held by Optimus and a man with dark clothing on the floor in the dark room. He flips the light on and assesses the situation.

After a few moments of looking at the man, Aurora recognizes him. "Agent Fowler..?" She mumbled.

The man nodded. "Haven't seen you since you were six, miss Jameson." He said, patting her head.

Aurora nods, and Fowler cuffs the intruder and then removes their hood, revealing Daniel.

Aurora's anger spikes, and it fuels her like a fire, but she holds it in and instead focuses on the way Optimus's hand rubbed soft circles into her hip with his calloused thumb. It almost felt endearing.

"Fowler," Aurora calls out, beginning to pack a bag so she could go sleep at base.

The man turns and gives her his attention. "Yes?"

"I'd like to be involved with interviewing Daniel. He and Korintha are after something and I want to know why and what." Aurora says, her body language leaving no room for argument. Not that Fowler had wanted to argue with her, given her thick authoritative tone.

He simply nodded and then left, and Optimus was left watching as she packed.
