a lot of time had passed on our hunt for clarke and the flame but her tracks were still going
"we have no clue how to even get to luna"
"you have no clue. i do but we don't even need to know where luna is with these tracks"

i just stay quiet because that's the point, no one is supposed to know anything about me

"i hated you because you took my mother from me. but now she's gone so i see no reason to hate each other"
i stop dead in my tracks and stare at him
"your mother took me from my family. i did not take her from her own"
"your right and i'm sorry. i want to put that all behind us now and rule azgeda together"
"the only reason i'm letting you rule beside me is for lexa"
i hear something in the woods and signal for roan to go quiet and point, he notices too. it was a man sneaking up on clarke. i pretend to draw a arrow back from a bow to show roan what he needs to do. he nods at me and kills the man causing clarke to look back and see us
"roan? aspen?"
she questions as we run up
"looks like we're not the only one whose been following your tracks"
"you have something we need clarke"
roan snatches the flame from her hand
"give that back"

i hear her pull a gun and i put a sword to her neck

roan turns and snatches the gun out of her hand

"clarke, the only reason your alive right now is lexa, so don't push it"

then we hear a gun cock

my sword immediately goes to clarkes neck again and i grab her

"i don't take orders from you bellamy, and now thanks to clarke i don't take orders from anyone"

"because we both want the same thing, to put the flame in ontari"
this sentences confuses me more than anything else in these last few days

"if they were do you think they would've saved me?"

by this time my sword was back in its case and i wasn't expecting the next thing to happen. bellamy shot roan, so i threw a blade at his hand. he started to scream

"get in the rover and i'll explain everything, trust me"
"he just shot my king and i'm supposed to trust you"

i nod and get in the rover. they cuff roan but know better then to cuff me

everyone looks at each other and me confused

clarke asks

pulling up to arkadia i'm still trying to process everything.
"so if allie has taken over polis i'll have no control over anyone there?"
"none at all. we can only hope she hasn't gotten to ontari yet"
"ontari better hope she wasn't that dumb"

bellamy says as we pull into the space object
"so why exactly am i in cuffs but aspen isn't?"
"i'd kill them even in cuffs"
"she won't kill me because of lexa, you on the other hand i don't know if i can trust yet"

i laugh as i walk off, he's right
"we were getting worried. where's luna?"
and right as raven was asking roan and i turn around the corner

"who are they"
"they're ice nation"
someone in a guard like uniform says
"king and queen of the ice nation actually and they're our way into polis"
i send him a smirk sensing the fear coming from him
"this way your highnesses. you two, follow me. i'll take them to lock up"
"no aspen stays with me, we have to talk"
now my smirks directed to bellamy, i put my hand out stopping him
"try not to shoot him again, this time i'll go for your throat not your hand"
"how about i shoot you instead"
he walks up to me
"try that see where it gets you"
"you two stop it. we're on the same side here, bellamy take him okay. aspen stays with me"
he rolls his eyes and walks off
"and what do you need me for, wanheda"
"you want to use her to get to ontari?"
the girl from before answers my question. her voice sounds oddly familiar
"who are you?"
"raven. one of the last few people left after you destroyed mount weather"
"if i destroyed it you wouldn't have made it out"
they all glare at me
"guys i just said we're on the same side now"
"so why is roan locked up"

i just laugh
"tell me this plan then"
"i'll tell you both, let's go to roan"

i walk in with clarke and bellamy behind me
"sorry about your arm"
bellamy breaks the silence
"azgona made it even"
"and now we'll listen to clarkes plan she claims to have for us all"
"like it or not, we need each other"
"cut to the chase, clarke. you said we wanted the same thing. i want an ice nation commander"
"and i can give you one with this"
she pulls out the flame
"and why would you do that, when you know she's vowed to wipe you out?"
i can feel bellamy glaring into my soul
"that was for nia not me. i would move your eyes somewhere else"
"i find that really hard to believe"

"we don't have a choice but to believe each other and in this plan. this isn't just our war. the enemy we're up against is after everyone. including the ice nation. the only way to stop her is to get the information off the flame. and the only way to do that is to put it in ontaris head."
"the ice nation isn't afraid"
"you should be. this thing doesn't care what clan you're from. it controls people. and it will take over the ice nation, just like it took us over, one person at a time, until there is no one left"
"i learned about this from one of their own, one titus was holding. he warned me but i put it off. but there's no putting it off now"

i whisper under my breathe

roan tells clarke
"we need to disconnect her before she gets the flame. or we'll be giving allie exactly what she wants. to do that, we have to abduct her from the center of a city filled with thousands of people whose minds are linked. all of them thinking as one. whatever one sees, they all see. whatever one hears, they all hear"
"i get it. so when do we leave?"
"we need to talk first. alone"
i look at clarke and bellamy
"you have 5 minutes"
"i have however long i need. now go"
"lets go bellamy"
they both walk out and i turn to roan
"i don't trust them but i believe what that boy told me"
"and what was that exactly?"
"he just explained everything about this thing"
"why didn't you tell me"
"i didn't see you until recently and i didn't think it was a problem worth our time"
"sure seems like it is now"
"our people won't listen to us, they won't listen to me, if that thing is controlling them"
"so how are we supposed to even do anything?"
"we have to trust skaikru"

octavia had joined our party now, releasing roan to let him get dressed. i heard many things of this girl from the sky, from many people. including things about her and lincoln being together. there was a time lincoln and i were close, during lexa's conclave. we were great friends but he doesn't believe in my ways. thats what drove our friendship apart. but i know how good of a man he is and i can see how good of a woman octavia is because he chose her.
"when this is over you should come to azgeda to learn more about being a warrior"
she looks at me a bit taken back
"i might take you up on that"
"you don't seem to like this place very much"

"i don't know how lincoln chose this over our lands"
she went quiet as if i something had happened between the two

"everyone around here sure seems to know you, your name gets mentioned and it's like a whole clans marching through arkadia. the amount of power you had on the mountain scares them"

"i doubt that. the way those people follow and fear you, it wouldn't shock me if they just completely ignored allie"

roan asks as he walks in
"are you dressed princess?"

the three of us walk into the room full of everyone else
"what are we waiting for?"
octavia ask
"let's move out"
bellamy states. as everyone hugs each other the three of us continue our walk to the machine that got us here. bellamy is the last one in but the first one to speak
"time to see how much power you really have, azgona"
