14. new chapter

          every inch of my body was enhanced, i could feel it. the flame gave me knowledge from everyone who had taken it before me. so i knew i could not kill clarke yet and i had to get my people back together before i made any kind of announcements. i also had to tell skaikru about the news i learned because they would understand better than anyone.
"after everything we just did to save our people, the worlds going to end, again?"
clarke asks me and i nod my head after i just explained everything alie told me
"and we're supposed to trust you why?"
bellamy asks
"because i saved you all. because i haven't killed clarke yet for lying to me about my blood being made from becca"
he looks at clarke
"you sent her to die?"
"im sorry okay. it was the only choice"
"you're just lucky it worked"
"so now you're the commander? no conclave or vote"
says bellamy
"i'm the only one who can take the flame"
"that's not what we're worried about now, okay. what do we do aspen?"
"for now. we go check on our people. then we'll decide when it's time to tell them the news about the end of the world or the fact i am the new commander"
"both seem like the same thing"
i just roll my eyes at bellamy's statement.

          there are so many dead bodies everywhere. some had no significant injuries. they just laid there dead.
"he didn't fall"
bellamy said
"no he got killed trying to help our enemy"
"azgona, you did this!"
"you all did this to yourselves"
"no the commander you chose did"
"she was no commander"
"you are no better"
"you're actually wrong. you see, (i have taken the flame)"
i whisper the last part
"but no one shall know yet"
and i put a sword through her with no second thought
"i saved you all! do not question me or raise your voice to me. and do not forget that i saved all of you"
"(please make skaikru leave. they brought this here)"
someone faintly says to me, begging me. i agree with everything coming out of their mouth. i look around to find them but don't see anyone.
"(over there)"
the same person said, i look to see bellamy, clarke, abbey and kane talking as i go to walk someone yells
"(the king! he's alive! we need a healer!)"
"(i will handle them)"
she nods at me before i head to roan once i get there i see clarke, her mom and kane are already by him. but echo is holding a sword to clarkes throat
"i could save him, but you have to let me"
"we have our own healer. (take the king to the embassy with the rest of our dead. do it now.)"
"seem to be having some trouble there clarke"
i smirk
"my queen"
echo nods her head at me
"he's not dead echo. she can save him"
"look around you. skaikru did this to us. because of them, ontari, your rightful commander, is dead. this imposter stole her flame."
"no. wanheda helped save us. all of us. grounders and skaikru"
"there would have been nothing to save us from if not for you"
"azgeda has no authority here"
does he not know about the flame in my head? i think to myself
"we do now. my queen, you're up"
"(you talk too much) i azgona, queen of azgeda, the rightful care taker of the throne of the commanders, polis is now under azgeda rule, under my rule"
"until a new commander can ascend, polis is to be ruled by ambassadors of the coalition. if azgeda wants it, they must take it by force"
before i could even say anything echo slits her throat
"consider it taken. (for azgeda)"
the whole army lifts their swords in the air and yells
"no skaikru leaves this city. echo come with me"
she follows me up to the throne room, i let her walk in first so i can make my next move. i kick her in the back leg making her fall to the ground
"(don't forget who's in charge here)"
"(i'm sorry, my queen.) i let the angry get to my head"
"don't let it happen again. now how many of our warriors are in polis"
"at least a thousand"
"perfect. we need a lot of force to keep peace"
"you want peace?"
"i want to control this city. i don't need a war, so don't start me one. now im going to see how abbey is doing with roan"
"you know our people want to kill every last one of skaikru"
"they can have some fun once im done with them"
she bows to me as i walk out of the room
"and echo, i would like you to continue to be warm chief until i say otherwise"
"(thank you)"
i say nothing else to her, just leave but then a warrior comes to me
"(the king has awaken)"
i nod my head. abbey saved him. she did it.
"what's going on?"
he asked me as i walked in
"leave us abbey"
she did as i said
"you have a lot to catch up on"
"so why don't you start talking"
"i took the flame risking my own life to save us, i destroyed the city of light, i found out the worlds ending, and i am still the commander but no one knows yet"
"why does no one know?"
"i wanted to get everything in order before destroying it again. you know our people would not accept a non night blood commander"
"they would accept anything you say. and what are you talking about, the world ending?"
"praimfaya is coming again"
"we survived that"
"we won't survive this. and roan, clarke lied to me about knowing if i could take the flame. she keeps making it more difficult to not want to kill her"
"im surprised you haven't yet"
"well i had to get my king back by my side first"
"and now that you have?"
"now you get to help me with the fun decisions"
"i want you to let them go back to arkadia, they saved my life"
i nod my head
"I'll think about it roan"
"and i think we should go ahead and tell the ambassadors about the flame. before we lose control"
"then lets go"

         it wasn't very long before that meeting happened, all the ambassadors gathered around waiting to hear the news
"we called you all here today to discuss a new beginning"
"for years we thought nightbloods could only take the flame and now we have none. but we thought wrong. a white blood can take it and i did. that is how i saved us"
everyone looked confused and angry
"how do we know you're telling the truth?"
"we'll bring in a flamekeeper and have a traditional ascension"
roan answers
"(this isn't right)"
"lexa's spirit chose me, if anyone has a problem with that feel free to challenge me"
they all went quiet
"does anyone else have a say in this matter?"
no one speaks up. until someone asks a question about a different difficult topic
"what are we going to do about skaikru?"
"i'm working on that"
"they need to be killed"
"i said im working on it. i will do what the commanders see best with them"
and silence fill the room again.
"(leave and sounds the horn)"
the all bow before leaving
"that seemed too easy"
"our people respect you. you're the best choice we have for a commander"
"and now azgeda has all the power until my death"

          the horns had sounded not too long ago. now i'm just waiting as gaia does her speech as the new flamekeeper. an ascension always requires the flame to be out in, this is the first time it's already in the commander. i only need to repeat the names so they believe me
"(through the dark... the flame lives on.. the body passes.. but the spirit is strong)"
"(may the spirit choose wisely)"
the crowd says together
"(the spirit has chosen. let the commander ascend)"
and i walk out, causing the crowd to show how shocked they are. i hear them mumbling things
"what is this? azgona is no natblida!"
"i'm not but the flame accepts me"
"she has claimed to already have the flame in her"
she turns me around to pull my hair back
"and by the looks of it she is not lying. but now she must repeat the names of the past commanders to fully ascend"
and so the ascension went as it does. i became the commander and everyone through the lands now knows i am the new commander.
"(welcome your new commander)"
gaia says and everyone starts bowing
"it's time for skairkrus execution"
she says turning to me i just nod as we turn to go to the middle of polis
"(all rise for the commander)"
i walk to the platform
"the commanders chose me to bring down the city of light. lexa kom trikru chose me to lead you all. and i know you've all came here for an execution but no one else will die here today. as the new commander i will honor and defend the coalition of the last commander- including the 13th clan. let it be known that an attack against skairkru is an attack against us all"
clarke nods her head at me, i did not do this for her. i did it for lexa and my people. skaikru is going to help us survive praimfaya and if they don't i will kill each one of them myself.
