I woke up and found myself in an empty room. No, I was thinking about something. No, I wanted something. I was just staring at my face. I wish I could fall asleep again.
The nurse came in. I knew who she was. I said, "nurse Courtney, you can stay here for a second".
Courtney:" well, you know my name."
And she sat next to me with a smile.
Me: "when I was new here, one of the kids here told me. He told me you were so sweet. So definitely the only person who can tell me what's going on here is you. Please. Can you tell me."
She sighed slowly.
She gave me a kind look. Or perhaps pitiful. Because I didn't want the good picture they gave me, I didn't think it was compassionate.
My waiting look didn't go unanswered: "remember the first day you were brought to this room? It's been three weeks since then..."
Me: "three weeks! How did I not understand? It was two days ago. I remember it beautifully. I was in bed."
Courtney: "I know it's hard. But you have to accept. The disease you have is a rare disease. Because of what happened to you in the past, you got a nervous shock. You couldn't accept that yet. Because of someone's death, you think you're dead and your brain sometimes misunderstands it and wants to stop functioning. That's why you're here. If your brain doesn't think so. He tries to get you out of the way of something or something that doesn't want to happen by creating a new character. If you trust me, explain to me what happened?"
I wanted to talk, but it was like my voice was locked in my throat. It was like my throat was like a dam in front of me.
He knew from my silence that I couldn't speak. SHe smiled at me and said, "it's okay, whenever you're ready, my friends and I are here to help you"
And she left me alone by putting a bowl of soup in front of me.
Half an hour later Lewis came in. He was very happy to see me. After throwing the nurse out with a thousand excuses, she sat down in front of me.
He said to me seriously, "they want to do something to you"
Me: "what are you talkingabout?"
Lewis: "a few days ago, I heard from Dr. Sims and some nurses that they were going to give you so much electric shock and give you medicine that you would get absolute amnesia. Don't eat anything from them. Don't let them make you their slave.."
I couldn't hear him anymore. Amnesia? I mean, I don't even remember Eve anymore. No..No way..
My ear whistled again and black again.
