"I KNEW IT FIRST, I CALLED IT ON DAY ONE, I KNE-"
"Are you ready to tell us now then, Sannie?"
"Bro, like 15 people just watched you kiss Wooyoung."

Standing with his ears ringing at a particular someone's eagerness to speak first, San picked up on the all round gist that he and Wooyoung were not as big of a revelation to his friends that he thought they were.

"You all knew?" He asked with a stunned face. The three shared a knowing look, smiling before turning back to him.

"Of course we knew, Sannie. We're your best friends. As motormouth here screamed, we've known from the day you met Wooyoung that you didn't see him as just a friend from the get-go. There was something different about you when he was beside you." Yunho swooned, a sucker for romance all in all.

"Yeah man. It wasn't that obvious to others though. Up until about now, when you had to pull your tongue from his mouth. But we picked up on it pretty quickly. We were just waiting it out until you both wanted to address it. But now you're kissing in public with no spacial awareness or fucks to give and I love that, so lemme congratulate you finally." Mingi reached his fist out to San with a grin.

San relished in the immediately welcoming space created by his friends. As long as he had the support of those who meant the most to him, nothing else held any importance. He truly hadn't set out to reveal the depth of his and Wooyoung's situation yet, but with how careless they were both becoming in public, it was going to happen one way or another soon enough.

"Have you had sex yet????"

Absolutely catapulting him out of his calm and happy thoughts, came the terribly invasive and unfiltered voice of his best friend. Swiftly met with a punch to the arm by Mingi, Hwa yelped and continued.

"I'm asking for research purposes! I swear. When you guys picked me up, my slutty spidey senses tingled. I couldn't put my finger on it but I was dying to ask you both outright if something happened. You looked all dazed and content and Woo looked all grumpy and sleepy, which then led me to the idea of you tiring him out by-"

"You are speaking louder and louder with every word Hwa, I'm begging you SHUT UP. No, we haven't had sex. If you want any more information for your 'research purposes', ask Wooyoung. I'm not discussing this without him." San whispered harshly but with no bad intent. He knew Hwa never meant harm and just had a tendency to get lost in his little brain.

"On a separate note, thank you guys, so fucking much. For being the best friends I could have. I'd be lost without you all and I'm sorry I didn't say anything sooner, Woo and I were just playing everything by ear and seeing where we landed." San shrugged, the mild guilt of keeping something from his closest now sinking in. Yunho hopped off his bonnet, stepping closer to the taller and cupping his face.

"We figured you'd tell us or show us when you wanted, however sooner or later. I think we realised you probably hadn't wanted to because it happened so quickly, but who cares about that? I wish I'd have had the incentive to act faster with Mingi. We wasted a lot of time with hidden feelings. If you feel it, act on it. We will always be here, Sannie. Wooyoung is an incredible person dealt a really shitty hand in his old life, so we know he's in good hands with you, and vice versa." Yunho reassured the boy, gently pressing their foreheads together. Mingi nodded and agreed behind Yunho, admiring his boyfriend's ability to comfort and empathise.

Hwa had made his way to the back of San without anyone noticing, startling the boy as he hugged him from behind and placed his head on shoulder.

"I'm not the best with words Sannie, and I know I can be a little silly. But I agree completely with everything Yunho said, and you know I love you in everything you do. I'm truly happy for you man. Just take it easy with him, figure it out as you go. You don't need to worry about anything else, we've got you both." Hwa confirmed, as San rolled his head to the side to lean gently to his.

"You guys really are the best thing to happen to me. The only reason I was so worried is because Wooyoung is new to this, to everything. I didn't want him to be pressured and feel like he'd be left alone if things fell through. But the more I think about it, the less likely I think it'll fuck up. I don't know, he's... different. He's pure, man. He's sweet, he's vulnerable, but he knows who he is. I've never felt this way before, and so quickly, you know?" San concluded with a deep and warm smile, losing himself to thought of the shorter.

The three observed affectionately. There was something incredibly rewarding about hearing San speak so fondly of Wooyoung. They had become accustomed to the odd fling of the taller and had previously worried that he may never settle, continuing to be dealt meaningless interactions by people more interested in his popularity and status rather than him as the wonderful person he truly was. Turns out, he just hadn't met Wooyoung yet.

"We know, Sannie. It's really good to see, and to hear you like this." Yunho affirmed.

The group ironed out a few more mini-fire questions about the two before the topic escalated to that of tomorrow. San informed of his and Wooyoung's plan, and they agreed to all meet at the party, bidding their goodbyes one by one. Hearts were full, smiles unwavering, each boy's happiness contagious as they left to recharge for the weekend ahead.
