Just like Hwa, Yunho and Mingi had played none the wiser upon the three boy's arrival. Spinning a yarn about their individual Sundays, following through with the white lie of their whereabouts, they all chatted away prior to their first lesson of the day.

Yunho however, believed the news of Wooyoung had caused detrimental damage to Mingi. His boyfriend had a fluctuating and unpredictable temper that had lay dormant for some time, but as news began to unfold about the shorter's past from his homophobic fuelled bullying to his assault, he could sense a rapid change in the boy's daily persona. Thankfully, nobody had picked anything up, as his boyfriend typically preferred to remain quiet and slightly withdrawn for the most time anyway.

First lessons zooming by, the group met back up to head to dinner together. San had suggested a training session for every day of the week leading to Friday, nothing too strenuous, just something to keep them in touch and as a team ahead of the game. Mingi agreed with no hesitance, snapping into action to inform their players. San saw it as a testiment to his dedication, Yunho saw it as an urgent bid to get rid of his pent up aggression come Friday having gone crazy through the week, pushing himself and their team to their limits.

As the first day back came and went, Wooyoung waved San and the group goodbye. San had offered for him to attend their training just to watch, and the shorter had sweetfully declined, saying he wanted to spend time with his parents following a relatively distant week from them. San accepted, kissing the shorter goodbye, promising to text and/or call him when he'd finished and was back home.

As the group and their team mates padded up, one of the players addressed San having been witness to the events of Saturday.

"So what's the deal with that Seungjoon, Sannie? I always knew there was something off about him. Didn't know he was that much of a prick, though. And the other players, too. Gonna slaughter those bastards, I swear." He mumbled, all the surrounding members agreeing and commenting between them.

San prided his team for their support. His surrounding peers upheld a total unbreakable wall of compassion for all people. Anyone who strayed from this mindset simply didn't belong here. Quickly after the Hyunwoo incident, one of his players came forward to admit that only recently had Hyunwoo began exhibiting such an odd display of disrespect, telling San that the boy had confided in him about "just doing whatever he wanted for his Senior year", and that he was "going to find someone to target". San fumed at his meaningless and completely unnecessary behaviour, but found himself a little at ease in a bittersweet way. It proved that he acted alone, and that Wooyoung was his first and only victim. Now that situation had been taken care of, it was on to the next.

"They'll get what they deserve, my guys. On field. I treasure you all, but please don't any of you risk any trouble on my behalf. Keep it clean and proper, don't sink down to their level. We can kick their asses without the dirty play." He advised, walking round to fist bump, handshake and ruffle the heads of each player.

"Training this week will be at all of our paces. Do what you can, but as best as you can for me. Don't over-exert and please leave your excess emotions at the door, God knows I'm having to, too."

"Fuck that. I'm breaking legs."

All heads turned to the growl of a voice, bewildered to see it belonged to none other than Mingi. San walked over, lowering to his knees to meet the seated boy as he tugged at his pads with an unusual amount of anger.

"Mingi, it's okay, man. I know it all hits home a little harder for you, given the reasoning behind it all. But you're better than this, bro. Homophobic pricks like those guys will never deserve a second of your time."

All players backed San's words, apart from his two friends who sat panicking to the core that Mingi would slip up and let San know exactly why the taller was out for blood for absolutely every student at Riverview, not just their team. Not knowing who assaulted Wooyoung meant everyone was fair game.

Mingi met the lovingly friendly and calming eyes of San kneeling before him. So completely unaware of everything. Unaware of something so soul-crushingly devastating.

You promised. You promised Yunho, you promised Hwa. Keep your temper in check.

He sighed. "You're right, Sannie. Just still hung up over the bullying shit. Gay stuff. You can't relate. Wait, I guess you can." He ended with a smirk as San relaxed and laughed, punching him in the arm.

"There we go. That's my favourite asshole back in the game. On that note, everyone head out!" He commanded, clapping and psyching up his team as they ran out to field.

"Hello, my beautiful Sannie. How was training?"

San had called Wooyoung after showering the thick layer of training induced sweat and dirt away, watching the shorter pot around his kitchen making some dinner in the taller's hoodie.

"Hi baby. Didn't take you long to invade "San space" did it?" He taunted the boy with a smile, as Wooyoung snapped to look at the screen then down at his front.

"I like 'em. Smell like you. I'm wearing pants this time though." He giggled, offering the taller a spin.

San chuckled, diving in to easy-flow chat with the shorter as they moved each other around the room, Wooyoung settling into a dining chair and propping the boy up across from him as if they were on a digital dinner date, and San took him downstairs to grab the food his Mother had saved for him having missed their dinner due to training. He did however pop in to his parents lounge area, the pair eager to speak to Wooyoung as he sat blushing from the attention through the screen.

The the two retreated back to their rooms, setting up the other in their spaces for the night.

"Is this what separation anxiety is? This fucking sucks." San commented, only really half-joking.

"I'd say so. I've forgotten what it's like to sleep without you next to me." Wooyoung chuckled through a yawn, settling snugly into his pillow whilst staring admiringly at the taller.

"I don't even want to remember what it was like." San confided. "You're probably sick of me saying this, but I'm really enjoying having you around, Youngie. You're a blessing."

"Right back at you, babe. You've given me more than I've ever received, in such a short time too. You're very special to me." Wooyoung whispered, tracing the lines of San's festures on the screen.

The taller hummed in acknowledgment, catching a kiss that Wooyoung blew and patting it against his heart, before they wished each other goodnight.
