Fuck, she answered.

I stare at my phone, not daring to look at it for fear of what she would have to say.

So I'm gonna clean up the kitchen.
That's a good plan, right?

I finally cleaned up the kitchen, living room, and Pepper and I's bedroom.

Making it now already 7 pm.

"Mr. Stark, Wanda informs that dinner is ready," JARVIS announces

"Thanks Jar" I say and head downstairs.

"So has she answered?" Sam asks curiously.

"Yes," I answer and take a bite of my spaghetti.

"What did she say?" Wanda asks excited for the answer.

"I don't know, haven't looked," I answer her shrugging my shoulders.

"Why not? You can't back away now Tony." Wanda says while I sigh.

I see Bucky grabbing my phone and placing it before me.

"Stop eating, and read it. Or do you want us to read it?" Bucky says.

"Read it," I say as I look down.

I never show this side of myself to others nor often do I even show it to myself.

Seems like all of my self-confidence just flies away from me whenever we talk about Y/n.

I see Natasha raising her eyebrow but she just continues eating.

"She says that she's fine. To say hello to Pepper, and that eumh she doesn't feel like calling but she will think about it, maybe another time.  That's all." Bucky says handing me back my phone.

"See, wasn't so bad?" Natasha says.

I let my body relax as I feel relieved now.

Look I love Tony and his excitement about his daughter.

But he doesn't even know her anymore except for what she shows on TV.

We could clearly hear the dryness in her message, she didn't even try to sound more convincing.
