Ford's P.O.V.

Two days have passed, and I still can't get over what happened last Thursday. After the incident, I immediately left the place. That wasn't how I expected him to notice me—not in a humiliating way!

At that moment, I really wanted to dig myself six feet under, especially when I found out that our school won against theirs. After that, Gadiel got distracted and had to exit the game because he had a nosebleed, leading them to lose, and it's all my fault!

It seems our love story ends here, and my future with him slowly crumbles. Fate might hate us.

My beloved Gadiel... See you in our next life.

I sighed with that thought, but I was suddenly snapped out of it when a notification rang from my phone. I grabbed it from the side table of my bed and found out it was a message from my mom.

Mom

Son.

Not available, I'm sleeping.

Fotfot

Mom, I told you not to call me like that! It sounds so childish—so uncool!

Well, you are my child, and indeed you're childish.

Mom!

Anyway, get up there,
I have something to ask you to do.

Zzzzz

Get up, or you'll be doing the laundry for a week.

Mom!!!😭

Go to the grocery; the stocks in the fridge are depleted. I'll also cook sinigang.

...

The money is on the table, and I left some extra for you.

Mom, why didn't you say so earlier🤩?
Even if I won't take a shower, I'll go to the grocery right away.
Love you, Mom!

After the conversation with my mom, I changed my clothes—well, I'm too lazy to take a bath, I'll just head to the grocery anyway. I picked up my phone and opened the Grab app to book a taxi. In just 10 minutes, the Grab driver arrived. I informed him of my destination, and we didn't take long to get there.

Initially, I didn't mind doing grocery, but out of nowhere, laziness started to engulf me. Sometimes, I really dislike leaving home. I just want to lie on my bed and relish the comfort it provides.

I frowned while pushing the cart. I realized it was a Sunday, but my mom asked me to do the grocery shopping. Such a life.

I grabbed my phone to check the list and meticulously went through it to ensure I had everything. After confirming, I tucked my phone away, I was done shopping and could proceed to the cashier.

"I feel like having chips and chocolates," I whispered to myself, deciding to grab some chips and chocolates to boost my energy while studying.

As I strolled down the aisle, my steps came to an abrupt halt as I spotted someone not too far away—a familiar figure.

Incredibly familiar!

I immediately turned around before Gadiel could see me—yes, it was Gadiel. I still felt embarrassed about what happened, and I was afraid he might suddenly confront me.

When I reached the cashier, I breathed a sigh of relief that I was next. I quickly unloaded my items. "Miss, can you please hurry up?"

I knew I might sound demanding, but I needed to escape before he spotted me.
