(Syris)

As I walked into the house I immediately smelled a mixture of weed and alcohol.

I walked through the front hallway and entered the living room, it was all clean and decorated for the fall. My aunt is an interior designer, so it's normal to see their house like this.

"Te-Te!" I yelled, and waited for a response, but instead of getting one I see my aunt come out her room fully dressed.

"Hey baby," she said as she came over and kissed me on the cheek and gave me a hug.

"You look good where, you going?" I asked her

"Just out with some co-workers to get some drinks" she told me

"Oh that's wassup, where's demi?" I asked her

Just as I asked that I hear footsteps coming down the stairs

"Hey cuzzo" I heard my Demitri say as he walked over to me with a bag chips in his hand.

Demitri was my older favorite cousin, we grew up really close to each other, we're like brothers. He was the first person I came out to, well kind of.

He caught me making out with the guy I was dating at the time. While I was panicking, his ass was just standing there laughing and cracking jokes. Saying shit like 'I knew you ass was a little fruit cake' and 'you a booty warrior'

We dapped each other up and did a little bro hug.

"Yo fat ass stay eating" I told him. Making him smack his lips "shut yo ugly ass up, what are you doing here anyway?" he asked

"Came to get a lens from my camera, I got a shoot early tomorrow"

"Oh that's dope" he said before he started walking to the kitchen making me walk behind him. My aunt had gone back to her room to get dressed a while ago.

"Where is your dad at?" I asked him as he ate a pack of fruit snacks.

Fat ass

"He in the basement talking to some of his guys, he should be coming up soon"

We sat there talking for about twenty minutes before we heard heavy footsteps coming from the basement, must be my uncle. The door opened to reveal him and few other dudes

I felt Demi moving closer to me and whispered in my ear "ain't that yo man"

I looked at him to see that he had a stupid smirk on his face.

His words just made me chuckle, I know who was talking about. he was talking about Samaj.

He was one of the dudes that worked for my uncle, he was fine as hell. I would flirt with him when I would see him. Of course with him being straight he wouldn't

flirt back but it's all cool. I never did it around my uncle, cause if he found out that I was feeling him, it would be a big ass problem.

"Wassup nephew" I heard my uncle making me walk towards him and dab him up. "Wassup, how you been old man" I said to him, making him smack his lips.

"I've been chilling, how is school going? Nobody is messing with you right?" He replied

Making me roll my eyes "nah, nobody messing me, and schools been good"

In the corner of my eye I see Samaj heading back down to the basement. He was patting his pockets before he went down there so he must be looking for something.

" mhm alright, you know all you do is shot me a text and I'll get it handled" he told me

"Yeah...I know" I replied back

"Anyway I think your camera shit is in the basement, I believe I saw it while I was down there."

I told him alright and began to make my way down the basement stairs, when I made it down there I see Samaj looking through the couch cushions.

"Wassup Samaj" I said with a smile, he turned his head to look at me then turned back to finish doing what he was doing.

"Oh so it's like that, you just gonna ignore me?" I told him walking Deeper into the basement

"What do you want Syris?" He asked me giving me his full attention.

"You" I replied.

"Yo... get the fuck out of my face with that shit" he said with an irritated expression.

I looked up at him and just chuckled. He was a few inches taller than me, but he wasn't towering over me. I didn't give him a reply, and just went to start looking for my lens. I found it on the bookshelf, and was about to head upstairs, when I heard an irritated sigh.

"You good?" I asked him

"Yeah I just can't find my phone" he replied calmly

"You want me to call it?" He hesitated a while before replying, but ended saying yeah

I handed him my phone so he could dial his number. Seconds later we hear his phone ringing up under the coffee table.

He walks back over to me, and hands me my phone.

"Thank you" he said while he started to head back upstairs, with me walking behind him.

"Of course, Anytime" I told him

Once we got up the stairs we walked back into the kitchen. I see that everyone has left, it's just my uncle Demi and this other guy.

Demi looked at me with a smirk and his eyebrows raised. I know he was thinking.

"You ready to go?" That guy said looking at Samaj

Making me look at him weird. Cause where he is going with my man....

"yeah, let's go" Samaj said before dabbing up my uncle, and started to head towards the door

"Aright, we'll see y'all later" the guy said while walking out the door.

"So...what you and Samaj were doing down there?" Demi asked, making me look at him with wide eyes.

My uncle raised his eyebrows then looked at me and said.

"There bet not being anything going on between y'all two, cause I'll handle that shit real quick."

I know he was serious; he had that crazy look in his eyes that sent shivers down my spine.

"It's nothing, I promise," I said.
