When Felix had been told Chan would be attending the engagement he was distraught, and when the event day came dangerously close, he was in despair. But now that the day is here and he's living in it, he is finding it hard to believe. The ceremony hadn't started yet but the guests had begun arriving, he came to the party with Seungmin and Changbin since he had no other escort to bring with him. The fact in itself made Felix cower in shame but he tried his best to not let his pitiable situation affect the way he would enjoy this event

tried—that was the keyword because in all honestly, the waters he found himself in were drowning him and it was impossible to inch over toward the shore and fill his breathless lungs with oxygen. Chan would be here, he'd have to face him, it would be better if he didn't make any small talk but then he also misses his voice terribly and it would be a missed opportunity to let this chance slide of hearing Chan talk to him one last time

one last time, that phrase never sounded this agonizing for Felix, each time he'd hear somebody say it he'd only feel indifference. He'd had to lose things throughout his life, he's had 'one last times' with a lot of things and even people in his life but he's been very accepting of it, taking no more than just a short amount of time to bounce back from his loss. But this time, using this phrase for the love of his life hurt worse than a thousand cuts.

Blinking his unshed tears he gulps down a sip of sizzling champagne, trying to drown out the pain and the idea of seeing his ex again. His thoughts however were halted when his friends called him out from his world of pain, bringing him back to reality "Felix?" Seungmin's voice echoes in his senses as he turns around and finds both his friends looking at him from across the table they were seated on "Yes?" he asks with a short smile on his lips but both of them know it's not genuine "You're okay right?" Felix nods his head, smiling even further at the boys

"I'm fine! Stop worrying about me and text Momo-za and ask what's taking so long" Felix drinks down his champagne in one go as he finished his sentence before grabbing another one, thinking it's best to let the most of alcohol reside in him so he won't have to feel"You're right, I should text her. It's their engagement party that has already started and they haven't even arrived" Seungmin clicked his tongue, setting down his glass of champagne and taking out his phone. When Felix looks away from his best friend his eyes fall on Changbin who had been awfully quiet for the past few minutes

Felix furrows his brows, he was raging with energy and has constantly been doing his best to act silly and cheer Felix up since they left Felix's apartment but suddenly, his energy has dwindled and he seems quiet and shut off. It rises worry in the blue-haired who cocks a brow at Changbin "You okay, hyung?" he raises his brows and catches Changbin's attention who was already looking at him but seemed dazed enough to have zoned out. The man blinks rapidly and clears his throat, immediately pulling a smile as he raises his hand to grab his champagne "Of course!" He cheerfully replies but Felix can't help but wonder if something is up

Still, he pushes it away and doesn't say much. He'll leave it be for now, Changbin would be alright, and scrutinizing his worries without any solid evidence seemed like a breach of privacy and nosiness to Felix. With a sigh the boy turned his neck around and down at his clothes, taking them in and trying to search for lilt or anything that would so much so as even slightly damage his appearance, he didn't want to admit it but he had dressed exceptionally well this evening. In his mind, he just wanted to make Chan regret dumping him and show him what he was missing but in the deeper parts of his heart, he'd dressed up this nicely so maybe Chan would look at him and want him back

just maybe.

His black leather pants that were skin tight glistened in the warm light of the engagement hall, his black top was a rather complicated piece of garment and it was hard to categorize it. One part of it was a full sleeve of ebony sheer fabric, the other side was that of a coat's sleeve. And in the middle, the coat's side overwrote the sheer fabric, covering it only halfway and leaving the rest of the sheer fabric to be wrapped around Felix's stomach while stripes of the black wool snake around Felix's abs and cover them.
