You were caught by surprise when your spotted your ex boyfriend in the crowd. Your body froze for a moment and you just stood there rooted to the ground for several seconds, before you recollected yourself. You blinked and turned around hastily and started walking in the opposite direction with your head down low.

Certainly, you were bound to bump into him someday. After all, you both worked in the entertainment field. However, this was where you expected to see him the least, since it wasn't really his type of party. This was the after-party for the annual awards ceremony for cinematic achievements. Only A-list celebrities in this industry were able to attend and although Von was a lot, a rapper, an artist,he clearly wasn't an actor, writer, or director; so he had no business here.
You let your eyes wander around the hall, in search for your friend. When you found her you quickly rushed over to her, gently pulling her to the side. She immediately noticed the astonishment on your face and truthfully you didn't make much effort to hide it. But instead of asking what was wrong, guilt covered her face and she bit down onto her bottom lip as if she knew something.
"Spill it..." You demanded, sharply.
"He's dating Ryan Destiny," she mumbled.

Your eyes widened at her, consumed with surprise and your jaw dropped open. "Wow he sure stepped up his game," you nodded your head impressed, letting out a laugh in disbelief. Ryan Destiny was a rookie actress. She was fairly new to the industry, but the movie she starred in became a box office hit and now she was one of the highest paid actresses in America. She literally became a star overnight.
