"Where were you Rin?".

A colder voice, colder than Rin's was heard.

As Rin and Y/n turned to look at the direction of the voice, there stood a boy with spontaneous red hair, presenting the same eyes and lashes as Rin.

"None of your business" Rin ignored the guy as he led Y/n to his room.

"You shouldn't talk like that to your big brother". The guy said approaching the couple.

"You wouldn't care where I was anyway" Rin rolled his eyes.

"Who is this lady, your girlfriend?" The older Itoshi looks at the girl who is next to his little brother, as his teal eyes traveled around her figure he would admit that she is very pretty.

"She's a friend of mine, now leave us alone" Rin says as he grabs Y/n wrist leading her to his room.

"She's too pretty to be your girlfriend anyway!" Sae shouts so he can hear him, but deep inside he was just joking, he was happy for Rin to finally have a girl friend since he hated the fact that Rin was mostly a loner.

Concerned by the sudden change in atmosphere, Y/n couldn't help but ask, "Is everything okay, Rin?"

Rin's frustration lingering in his expression, sighed and began changing into his uniform without much thought. The frustrations from his brother's teasing remarks still fresh, he momentarily forgot Y/n was in the room.

As Rin changed in front of her, Y/n couldn't help but steal a fleeting glance at his toned body and defined abs.

Y/n, realizing the unintentional oversight, quickly averted her gaze blushing. "Rin! I'm still here," she exclaimed, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

Rin, suddenly realizing his mistake, hurriedly finished changing and apologized, "Sorry about that, I got a bit carried away."

As Y/n and Rin walked towards school, the morning air carried a mix of freshness and anticipation. However, their peaceful stroll was interrupted when, out of nowhere, Osamu—Y/n's ex—crashed into them.

"Whoa, watch where you're going," Y/n exclaimed, taken aback.

Osamu, seemingly unfazed said, "Mind if I join you two for the walk to school?"

Before Y/n could respond, Osamu had already positioned himself alongside them.

As Osamu inserted himself into their walk to school, he began engaging Y/n in casual conversation, occasionally making physical contact—a touch on the arm here, a playful bump there.

Rin, walking on the other side of Y/n, couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy.

Observing Osamu's seemingly effortless familiarity with Y/n, Rin's jaw tensed slightly. He maintained his composure but couldn't shake the subtle unease.

Upon reaching the classroom, Rin, still harboring a hint of jealousy and frustration from the encounter with Osamu, chose to distance himself a bit. He entered the room without acknowledging Y/n, opting to find his seat and focus on settling in for the day.

As the day progressed, a noticeable distance lingered between Y/n and Rin. The encounter with Osamu had inadvertently introduced a strain in their dynamic, and the two went through the day without much contact or communication. Attempts at conversation were met with indifference from Rin, who seemed to maintain a deliberate distance.

In classes, during breaks, and even in shared moments with mutual friends, the usual camaraderie that had characterized their interactions was replaced by an uneasy silence.
