Ruined Plan

I was sitting my hands on the table trembling like a leaf Jim's hand on mine trying to help.
"Hey, I need someone to go out there with to make a deal." The old man said looking at the older fella by Duke, Stonie.
"No!" I exclaimed, "I'll go." I said taking out my gun slipping it in Jim's holster behind my back on his opposite thigh hiding it.
"Why should I take you, you're too healthy lady." He snarled at me.
"I'm the Captains only daughter. That'll get you what you need." I said as Jim whispered in my ear to the side.
"Ok." I mouthed back as I was pressed against the older man about to go through the door when Jim shot him grazing my forearm as he wounded the old man Dexter went to shoot when I heard more shots from Jim's area as I crawled to his booth under the table. I got behind him when I leaned on the wall sighing as the shooting was over.
"Millie?" Jim said a blur as I fought trying not to black out, "Millie? Millie?"
I was unconscious now as SWAT came in after the wounded men. Jim was on the ground with me doing CPR as if he wasn't wounded, his adrenalin had kicked in from his wound probably.
