Pete came in and went to the back bedroom when he stopped setting the clothes on the dresser. I was in Jim's industrial jacket and Jim's arm held me close to him, my head tucked away under his chin my face buried in the collar of his button down uniform shirt. Pete's hands hit something hard and he looked over, on the dresser was his empty holster. Pete saw Jim's gun at the beside table and he still was wearing his baton on his belt. Jim jumped pointing his gun.
"Whoa, partner. Its just me." Pete said as I sat up.
Pete threw Jim's sleeping clothes at him and I giggled at their small bickering, they meant no harm it was just playful banter of co-workers in arms.
"Thanks Pete. Sleep well pal." Jim said when he waved yeah as he left.
