Miles has extra time for running. It started when he dropped two of his subjects this semester. Coach Martin just looked at him in disbelief when he discovered about it. His coach knows he really wants to spend more time in his sports. He's slacking off for sometime now so he couldn't blame him for thinking that way.

It was four in the morning when he woke up and changed into his running attire. Before that, he did some few stretches in order not to strain his muscles. The weather was good when he started to jog. It's cloudy and the wind is cool. Kaya lalo siyang ginaganahan.

Puerto Real is a city which modernity didn't prevail that much. There are lot of greeneries, pine trees and plants some corners.

He chose to unwind a bit on one of the outdoor tables of a Café, facing some of the bushes situated near the cobbled pavement sidewalks.

The clouds are getting darkier when the clock strucks eight yet Miles kept on running around the Puerto Real. He didn't even budge when drizzle starts to fall and still continued to run until it became a sudden downpour.

Even when the rain stopped, he continued to perform some drills when he got inside the oval truck. He did some jumping and running on the lane, increasing the speed every minutes until he couldn't run faster enough.

Kinabukasan, Miles kept on shivering under his blanket. Marahil, napasobra ang pagwork-out niya kahapon.

"Oh hell," he murmured. It was raining and when he glanced at the clock, it's ten thirty in the morning. He turned on the heater of the room because he's shivering.

Siya lang mag-isa roon sa dorm.

After he drank medicine for his fever, he sighed and went back to his bed. Doon siya nakahinga nang maluwag. Seconds later, he received a text message from his older brother.

From: Morrison

Mom and Dad wants you to go home this weekend. They have something to discuss with us.

Are his parent are going to split? He scowled at the thought of it. He saw it coming. It's the reason why he didn't go home for weeks. Ever since he reached the age of thirteen, he saw his parents loud quarrels on their dining table.

His breathes are uneven and he felt like he's on fire.

His older brother is five years older than him and workaholic, so he's the one to witness the quarrels, some quarrels were even petty. His once doting mother changed when she knew some of his Dad's strings of women. Yes, strings of women. Their family is a product of an arrange marriage.
