||Tyler Joseph||First person||

I was making dinner when I heard a soul-freezing scream from Ryana's apartment. I stopped dead and listened. I heard nothing, so I shouted "Ryana!... RYANA!!" No response. I rushed out of my flat, tore her door open and froze. She was lying on the floor, unconscious. I quickly bent down to her and saw that she hit her head in the table corner. It was bleeding. I nervously dialed the ambulance, and a few minutes later, they were already carrying Ryana out of the building. I sat in the back of the ambulance, trying my best not to cry. When we got into the hospital, they sat me down in the waiting room. I sat there for an hour or so, staring at the wall, thinking about what Ryana did to fall so hard, when they finally called me in. The doctor looked uncertain.
"The girl hit her head in two spots, one of them is the one that was bleeding so hard when you saw her, but the other one, even though it's smaller, is way more dangerous. If it was hit from a special angle, she might forget some memories from the past months..." I gasped at that. The past months?? She would forget... me? "...also, when she fell, she hit her back which might cause sharp pain in her lungs while breathing for a week or two, so we would like for her to stay a couple days at least. We also want to get her explanation."
"Oh... Uh, okay... But will she be okay...?" I asked, worried. "Well, even if she forgets some things, memories can be brought back by talking to her, so yes, she'll recover." The doctor said.

••few hours later••

It was 4 am. I was still sitting in the same chair, staring at Ryana. Maybe waiting for her to wake up, or just making sure she's not alone. My eyes were red, my body was shaking, I was really tired, but I couldn't leave her there...

After three more hours of sitting in silence (I ponder of something great), a nurse came in and sent me home to get some sleep and come back in the afternoon. I didn't want to go, but she kicked me out so I'll leave.

••another few hours later••

I could barely rest for two hours, my brain woke me up. I was a tiny bit less tired, but still nervous and worried. Without thinking, I pulled a hoodie on, put my shoes on, but before I left, I stopped for a second. I went back, in my bedroom, and came back with my uke. I headed out of the house and went back to the hospital. Ryana was still not awake. I sat down by her side, started slowly strumming on my ukulele, and sang songs for her. After some time, I called Jenna, told her about what happened, and she rushed to the hospital too. We were sitting there, barely talking for hours, until Ryana moved. "T... Ty... Tyler...?" She asked in a fading voice "Yes Ryana, it's me!" I said, very excited that she didn't forget me. But I saw horror on her face "But... I don't understand" she muttered "you just... You just jumped down a cliff!" "What??" I asked. Jenna looked at me, worried "I just saw you jump down! I was there too! On the mountain, in the forest!" Ryana shouted "But I am here, in front of you!!" I said, nervously

"But then... What did I see? I collapsed on the grass and hit my head on a rock" she muttered "I swear, I was there..."
