Ruby's POV

I made my way to my office after leaving Y/n back in the meeting room. I had a small smile on my face after her confession to me. Is she telling the truth? She said she spoke to Genevieve but came to the office with hickeys and admitting she fucked her "one last time." Would it be dumb to trust her?

Y/n's POV

After leaving the office, I thought about what I can do to show Ruby that I'm all in. I sat in my car letting my mind run as it trailed to the mail I have in my pocket. Genevieve said it was important. I dug in my pocket looking for the letter and found it. I opened the envelope up and inside was an invitation from my best friend.

My best friends getting married. Wow. I haven't seen them in a couple of years since they moved to Europe. February was just right around the corner so I need to find a suit to wear. And maybe a plus one....

They'll be disappointed not to see me with Genevieve. I introduced them to her at one of my birthday parties years back. They threw me a surprise party and somehow got her in on it.

*Ding*

"Who's texting you so much?" I asked Genevieve as I kept my eyes on the road driving. She's been on her phone all day texting someone and barely acknowledging me.

"No one. Just a friend." She side eyed me, keeping her phone turned away from me as I tried to peak.

I decided to leave it because I didn't wanna argue and start a fight on my birthday. She finally put her phone down and glanced at me with a small smile on her face. I looked at her weirdly and ignored her shaking my head. She scooted closer to lean over the middle console and poked my cheeks.

"Babe.. stop ignoring me. Gimme kiss." She said as she puckered her lips near me. I stopped at a red light and grabbed her face pushing her away from me. She huffed as I moved her back into her seat and she glared at me.

"You haven't given me attention all day. I'm not kissing you." I say with an eyebrow raised.

She rolled her eyes, "I haven't been ignoring you. I just have a surprise for you and I don't want you to ruin it."  I glanced at her contemplating whether to believe her or not. I sighed and decided to trust her.

"Fine. After we get breakfast we can relax and just enjoy together?" I asked her as I leaned over to kiss her finally at another red light. She smiled at me after pulling away from our kiss with her hand gripping my jaw. "I promise we can do whatever you want." She pulled me in for one more kiss as the light turned green.

———Skip breakfast bit————

We were in the car again on our way home as she got another text. I left it alone this time trying to not think negatively about whoever she was talking to. She must've picked up on my overthinking when she started to get touchy with me.

"What are you doing?" I asked as her hands started moving near my pants. She started kissing my neck. "Pull over somewhere quiet."

Getting a little turned on, I did what she said. I saw a dead end with lots of bushes and trees nearby. So I pulled into that dead end.
