The air crackled with excitement as the college campus buzzed with anticipation. It was the week leading up to the much-anticipated Freshers' Party, an event that had the entire student body abuzz with enthusiasm. Seniors were especially busy, making every effort to ensure that the night would be unforgettable for the newest additions to the college community.
Maya and Annis had become more closer and their relationship is going smoothly during their time at college. Their bond was unbreakable, as they had supported each other through thick and thin. They were often seen together, discussing the smallest details of the their life.
Amid the collective excitement, Derek found himself in a constant state of distraction. Try as he might, thoughts of Y/n consumed his mind, regardless of his attempts to forget her. He recognized the futility of it; whenever he is studying, she comes, when he sees her the way she smiles making his heart beat faster than normal. Yet, every time he closed his eyes, Y/n's face appeared, unbidden.
It was baffling to Derek that he couldn't shake off his feelings.
He found himself unconsciously comparing every girl he met to Y/n, but no one could measure up to her vibrant personality, contagious laughter, and the way she effortlessly captivated him. He had tried to fill the void, going out with friends and attending social events, but his heart wasn't in it.
He still remembered the first time he saw her. The small girl with that angry face, it was cute to him. He was very distracted to her.
His thoughts were all about Y/n and with the scenarios he was making about her and himself, it was unholy as ever and some romantic too.
He would find some excuses just to see her, just a small minor second of her will make his day.
He would always get jealous when he would see guys going up to her for dates but all she would do was giving them death threats. To which he was happy about.
One day, he was in the canteen when he saw Y/n entering and went to the counter to order.
He smiled at her sight but his smile fells when he saw a boy, trying to get close to her and in attempt to touch her.
He was about to go when he saw her giving him a punch in the face, giving him a glare and then acting normally as if nothing had happened.
From that day many boys were afraid of her, while Derek was happily admiring her.

The anticipation for the fresher party had been building for weeks, and finally, the night had arrived. The college auditorium was transformed into a dazzling western-themed venue, complete with ribbons around, bandanas, and a rustic charm that set the perfect ambiance. As Y/n and Maya made their way to the entrance, the vibrant sounds of laughter and music spilled out, signaling a night of celebration and excitement.
Y/n was adorned in a stunning sky-blue spaghetti strap dress that gracefully hugged her figure. Her long hair cascaded down in loose waves, and her makeup accentuated her features, adding a touch of elegance to her look. The moment they stepped into the auditorium, the atmosphere seemed to shift. Whispers and gasps followed them as heads turned in unison. Y/n and Maya's entrance was nothing short of a showstopper, and all eyes were on them. The air was charged with admiration as the girls confidently walked into the party, owning the space with every step.
Derek with his friends near the edge of the dance floor, engaged in a conversation. However, as Y/n and Maya made their grand entrance, the vibrant chatter and laughter surrounding him faded into the background. His attention was instantly captured by the sight of Y/n in her sky-blue spaghetti strap dress, a vision of elegance and grace.
Derek's gaze locked onto Y/n, and for a moment, time seemed to slow down. He was momentarily speechless, unable to tear his eyes away from the enchanting figure before him. Y/n's beauty radiated like a beacon, and he found himself caught in its warm glow.
His friends nudged him, noticing his sudden distraction. "Derek, Earth to Derek!" Mummy said teasing him.
His friends had known by now about his little crush on Y/n.
Derek snapped out of his trance, blinking in surprise. "Uh, sorry. I just... wow," he stammered, unable to find the right words.
His friends followed his gaze and shared amused glances. "Looks like someone's got a crush." Sexa chuckled, pocking him.
Derek blushed, realizing he had been quite obvious. "It's just... Y/n looks incredible tonight. I mean, she always does, but tonight, it's like she's outshining everyone."
His friends chuckled knowingly, and Derek couldn't help but smile. Taking a deep breath, he decided it was now or never. With newfound determination, Derek approached Y/n and Maya as they joined the dance floor.
"Y/n, Maya, you both look absolutely stunning tonight," Derek complimented, a genuine smile on his face.
Y/n grinned in response, her confidence shining through. "Thank you, Derek! You're not looking too bad yourself."
Derek, dressed in a navy blue suit, cut a dashing figure as he stood before Y/n and Maya. The suit hugged his frame perfectly, accentuating his broad shoulders and well-defined muscles. The crisp white shirt he wore underneath was tailored snugly, revealing the subtle contours of his physique. Y/n couldn't help but notice the way the suit complemented Derek's features. His neatly styled hair added to the overall polished appearance. The sight left her momentarily breathless.
Maya nudged her and walked away over to Anni was was in a black suit.
"Thanks." Derek smiled.
He was about to say something when Mummy, Acid and Sexa came complementing her. They too were dressed nicely in a set of suit.
Soon they were engaged when the announced announced to settle down as the performances were about to start.
The gang sat at the seat, Maya was sitting in between Anni and Sexa while Y/n in between Derek and Acid and Mummy was in between Derek and Anni.
The performance starts and the whole auditorium were cheering and clapping as the song and the drama took place. Surprising, Sexa was doing a drama but his bottom costume fell down, the crowd laughed, to which Y/n put her head on Derek's laughing and on other hand Derek heart beat stopped at the touch but then calmed down.
The whole night was all about singing and dancing and at last the girls ramp walk and if some boys wanted to do to. So the girls did and after that, Acid, Sexa and Mummy did with laughter.
