As I look around our bustling home in Mumbai, I can't help but marvel at how much our lives have changed in just one year. Derek and I are now the proud parents of two beautiful children - Tara, our spirited daughter, and Elvis, our charming son.

Tara is in her second year of MBBS, her determination and passion for medicine shining through in everything she does. Watching her pour over her textbooks, her eyes alight with curiosity, fills my heart with pride. She's growing into a compassionate and driven young woman, and I couldn't be more proud of the person she's becoming.

She's currently in Delhi for her college in hostel, she or we occassionally visit eachother.

Elvis, on the other hand, is eagerly awaiting the results of his JEE exam. His enthusiasm for science and mathematics knows no bounds, and I have no doubt that he'll excel in whatever path he chooses to pursue. His infectious laughter fills our home with joy, and I cherish every moment spent in his playful company.

Our family may be busy with our respective pursuits, but we always make time for each other. Whether it's sharing meals around the dinner table or embarking on weekend adventures around the city, our bond only grows stronger with each passing day.

Our home, once a mere house, has transformed into a sanctuary filled with love and laughter. Its walls echo with the sound of children's laughter and the warmth of familial love. And as I watch Tara and Elvis chase each other around the garden, their laughter ringing through the air, I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the blessings that fill our lives.

Yes, our journey may have had its ups and downs, but as I look at my family, I know that every moment has been worth it. We may not have it all figured out, but as long as we have each other, I know that we can weather any storm that comes our way.

So here's to another year of love, laughter, and endless adventures. With Tara and Elvis by our side, I know that our future is brighter than ever before. And as we navigate the twists and turns of life together, I couldn't be more excited to see what the future holds for our little family.

----

The day of Elvis's JEE exam results had finally arrived, and tension hung heavy in the air. Y/N and Derek were both caught up in their respective meetings at the office, their minds wandering to their son and the outcome of his exam.

Meanwhile, Elvis sat nervously in front of his laptop, his heart pounding with anticipation. With trembling hands, he clicked on the link to check his results, his breath caught in his throat as the page loaded.

But as the words "Failed" stared back at him from the screen, a wave of devastation crashed over Elvis. Tears streamed down his cheeks as he struggled to comprehend the magnitude of his failure. It was his first attempt, and he had pinned all his hopes on passing the exam.

Alone in his room, Elvis felt the weight of his parents' expectations bearing down on him like a crushing burden. How could he face them after failing to meet their hopes and dreams for his future?

In his despair, Elvis reached for his phone, his fingers trembling as he dialed the numbers of his closest friends. Within minutes, they arrived at his doorstep, their faces etched with concern as they found Elvis curled up in a ball, sobbing uncontrollably.

His friends, Akash and Naiyra, Naiyra knelt beside him, wrapping him in a comforting embrace as she whispered soothing words of reassurance. Akash stood by his side, offering silent support and a shoulder to lean on.

As Elvis's tears began to subside, his friends gently guided him away from the dark thoughts that threatened to consume him. They reminded him that failure was not the end, but merely a stepping stone on the path to success.

"You're not alone, Elvis," Naiyra said softly, her eyes filled with empathy. "We'll get through this together."

With their unwavering support, Elvis's friends helped him see that his parents' love was unconditional, and that they would stand by him no matter what. As the darkness lifted, Elvis felt a glimmer of hope begin to stir within him.

In that moment, surrounded by the love and compassion of his friends, Elvis realized that failure was not a sign of weakness, but a testament to his resilience and determination to keep striving for greatness. And as he looked towards the future, he knew that with the support of his loved ones, he could overcome any obstacle that stood in his way.

3 hours later...

"Sorry mumma, sorry papa." Elvis cried in his mother's arms as they looked at each other and sighed.

The news of Elvis's JEE exam results had hit the family hard. Y/N and Derek rushed home from their respective meetings as soon as they heard, their hearts heavy with worry for their son.

When they arrived, they found Elvis sitting on the couch, his face buried in his hands as tears streamed down his cheeks. His self-deprecating words echoed in the room, each one like a dagger to his parents' hearts.

Y/N and Derek exchanged a glance, their hearts breaking for their son. Without a word, they moved to either side of Elvis, enveloping him in a tight embrace. They held him close, offering silent comfort as he cried out his frustrations and disappointment.

"You're not a loser, Elvis," Y/N whispered, her voice filled with love and compassion. "You worked hard, and that's all that matters."

Derek nodded in agreement, his hand resting reassuringly on Elvis's shoulder. "Failure is just a temporary setback, son. It doesn't define who you are or what you're capable of."

Elvis looked up, his eyes red and swollen from crying. "But I let you down. I let myself down. I'm a failure."

Y/N gently cupped his face in her hands, forcing him to meet her gaze. "No, Elvis. You're not a failure. You're our son, and we love you unconditionally, no matter what."

Derek squeezed Elvis's shoulder, his voice filled with pride. "You may have stumbled this time, but that doesn't mean you won't succeed in the future. You're strong, resilient, and capable of achieving great things."

As Elvis absorbed his parents' words, a glimmer of hope began to flicker within him. Maybe failure wasn't the end of the road, but merely a detour on the path to success.

With the unwavering support of his parents by his side, Elvis knew that he could pick himself up and try again. And as he wiped away his tears, a newfound determination filled his heart.

Together, as a family, they would weather this storm and emerge stronger on the other side. For in the face of adversity, their love would always be their greatest source of strength.
