I stare in shock as the fire dies. The smoke was the only thing left. "Hiccup?" I call quietly. The Screaming Death was lying there... Not moving. It's not Dead... It's just Injured. But, Hiccup on the other hand...
"Astrid?" Fishlegs asked me.
"No," I whisper. "No." I run over to the Wreckage. "Hiccup!" I call.
"Hiccup, where are you?!"
Fishlegs then walked to me. "Astrid don't."
"No!" I yell. "He's still here! He's still alive. I know it!" Stormfly chirped behind me. I then stare at The Screaming Death. Even if he were alive, he'd be dead now. I sit down staring off in the distance. "Hiccup's gone..." I say silently.
The gang looked at me. "He's gone?" Fishlegs asked.
"Wait--" Tuffnut asked. "He's dead?"
I force a nod. I didn't want it to happen this way. "How'd this happen?" Ruff asked.
"It looked like something blew up," Tuff asked.
I was about to answer when I heard a Dragon purr. I looked over to see Toothless, slowly waddled out of the Smoke. Hiccup followed slowly. "Hiccup!" I scream running to him. I practically jump at him, hugging him tightly. He hesitated then hugged me back.
"I thought you died.." I whisper.
"No," he told me. "I don't go down that easily..." He added before looking around. "Apparently I have a bad habit of not dying when things like this happen," even Hiccup sounded uncertain about how he was living right now.
I look at him, then hug him tighter. "I'm so glad you're okay," I say to him.
I heard him gasp for air. "Astrid, I can't breathe."
I let go of him, then tuck some hair behind my ear. "Sorry."
"So? Hiccup didn't die?" Tuff asked.
I turn to see the others walk up. Hiccup looked over, almost looking offended. "No... I didn't!" He answered.
"How'd you even survive that?" Snotlout asked him.
Hiccup seemed uncertain. "That's a question I get asked too many times in my life," he started. "Toothless!" He then answered as the Night Fury nudged him. "I have Toothless to thank."
Everything went silent. I knew there was a reason we were here. But the Screaming Death distracted us. "There was a reason why we were or here." Hiccup started. "But what was it?" He went silent again. He then looked up. "Berk."
"What about Berk?" I Fishlegs asked.
Hiccup looked over to Outcast Island. "Our people," he said to us. "We still have to get them back."
I looked at him, then to the Island. "We'll get then back, Hiccup. I Promise."
