After the boys and I went home, Scotty and I asked our Mom if we could camp out with the boys.

Our Mom was ecstatic. She didn't even care about me going to spend the night with a bunch of boys, she was just happy that Scotty and I finally had some friends. Especially Scotty.

After Scotty and I had done the dishes and took our jackets, we headed to the treehouse to spend the night.

"Hey, guys, sorry we're late," Scotty apologized as soon as we got into the treehouse.

I placed my backpack on the ground next to the boys' stuff.

"My Mom made us put on our jackets," Scotty explained.

"Shut up!" One of the boys shouted as the other boys laughed.

"And then she made us do the dishes," Scotty continued.

The boys laughed harder.

"Your poor little Mommy made you do the big bad dishes," One of the boys sniggered.

I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, doesn't yours?" I said.

The boys suddenly stopped laughing and I smirked as Scotty sat down by Ham.

"Hey, you want a s'more?" Ham asked.

I love s'mores. I hadn't had one in forever. The last time I had one was when I was really little camping with my Dad.

"Some more of what?" Scotty asked.

I shook my head and smiled.

Poor Scotty.

"No, no, you want a s'more?" Ham shook his head.

"I haven't had anything yet, so how can I have more of nothing?" Scotty said, obviously confused.

"You're killing me, Smalls!"

"Your brother doesn't get out much, huh?" Benny asked, looking at me and then back at my brother and Ham.

"Yeah," I said. "You guys are kinda his first real friends."

"Really?" Benny asked, looking at me. He looked slightly shocked.

I nodded.

"Scotty usually plays around with his robotics kit," I explained.

Benny nodded.

"What about you?" Benny asked, intrigued as he looked me up and down.

I shrugged, feeling the butterflies in my stomach.

"What about me?"

"Have you had any friends before us?"

I nodded.

"Yeah, but they all left me for my ex best friend. She was kind of a jerk."

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay. I have better friends now than I did back then anyway."

I smiled at Benny and he smiled back.

"You guys are my first all guy friend group though," I nudged Benny's arm with my elbow.

"You're my first real girl friend," Benny smiled.

That sentence alone made my heart race like crazy.

"Really?" I asked, intrigued.

Benny nodded.

"I would've figured girls would be falling at your feet, wanting to be your friend," I smiled.
