"I'll be back in an hour," My Mom informed me and my brother. "I'm gonna take your Dad to the airport."

"Oh, okay," Scotty nodded.

"Honey, are you feeling alright? You look kind of pale," My Mom inspected Scotty's face.

She was right. He was still a little pale from last night.

"I'm fine, Mom," Scotty said, looking slightly annoyed.

"He just ate something that didn't agree with him at the carnival," I said.

My Mom nodded and looked back at Scotty.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm fine, really," Scotty nodded.

"Alright," My Mom said, letting go of Scotty's face.

She walked over to the car and quickly got in.

Bill...I mean Dad...walked over to Scotty and placed his hand on his shoulder.

"While I'm gone, you're the man of the house," Dad instructed Scotty. "Understand."

"Okay," Scotty nodded.

"Okay."

"Where are you going?"

"Chicago. On business for a week. We'll take another stab at catch when I get back, alright?"

"Yeah, I guess so," Scotty smiled, nodding.

"Take care of things for me."

"Okay."

"Alright?"

"I will."

"Okay," Bill, ruffled Scotty's hair. "Be a good boy."

"I will."

"Okay."

"You be good for your Mom too, Y/n," Bill said, looking over at me.

"Yes sir," I nodded. "Always."

Bill nodded and then got into the driver's seat of the car.

As our parents drove away, Scotty and I waved at them.

After their car drove away, Benny walked over to Scotty and me.

"Where are your parents off to?" Benny asked.

"Airport," Scotty said. "Bill...I mean Dad is off on a business trip."

Benny nodded.

"And our Mom is taking him to the airport," I said.

Benny wrapped an arm around my waist and placed a small kiss on my cheek making me smile.

"You guys want to go to the Sandlot? Just us?" Benny asked.

"I don't think we can until our Mom gets back," I said.

"Oh yeah, I guess that's true," Benny said.

"Do you want to hangout inside until our Mom gets back?" Scotty asked with a huge smile.

"Sure," Benny smiled. "Why not?"

After Scotty, Benny, and I walked inside we all sat down at the kitchen table.

"We have some playing cards if you want to play?" Scotty suggested.

"Sure," Benny smiled.

Scotty quickly got up and rushed to his room as Benny chuckled and turned to look at me.

"So," Benny said. "I told my Mom about you."

My heart fluttered at his words.

"Oh yeah?" I said, interlacing our hands together.

"Yeah," Benny continued. "She'd love to have you over for dinner and meet you. If you want to, that is?"

"I'd love to meet your parents, Benny," I smiled.

"My siblings are going to be there too," Benny said.

I nodded.

"All my siblings are younger than me. Daniel is ten. Maria and Michelle are twins. They're both eight. And lastly, there's Thomas. He's four."

"Wow. I never knew you had so many siblings. I've never heard about them before."

"Oh we have very different interests," Benny explained. "There hasn't really been a reason for me to talk much about them."

I nodded.

"Daniel is really into Legos, Maria and Michelle are really into Barbies, and Thomas is into toy cars."

"Do you ever play with them?"

"Sometimes."

"It must be fun to have such a big family," I said.

"Eh. It has its ups and downs," Benny shrugged.

"I found the cards!" Scotty shouted, running into the dining room. "They were under my bed!"
