Darnell was the luckiest man on earth. He had a lovely girlfriend by the name of Matilda. They known each other since college. They both attended Delaware State. It was a gorgeous Valentine's Day, as the springlike breeze rippled through Matilda's smooth, brown hair. "I love you, Darnell," said Matilda, sitting on the chair outside of Darnell's front porch.
"I love you too, babe," said Darnell.
Matilda smiled warmly at Darnell, and kissed him. Darnell kissed her back, their lips connecting. There was a dead alligator on the front lawn, but they didn't notice him, as they were too busy having their romantic Valentine's Day moment.
Darnell and Matilda had a love that never faded away.
