Next day
Jax walked into Nelson's. After clocking in and putting on his coveralls, he walked to the front desk where Adam and the other mechanics are standing. When they saw Jax, their conversation ended.
"What? Why are you so quiet?" Jax asked.
Martin decided to break the awkward silence and teased Jax. "Well, we had no idea that a Calvin Klein model worked here. Son, you make all of us look like sacks of shit. All of the female customers are going to expect us to look like you."
Jax started laughing. "You're all lame."
Everyone started laughing at Jax's comeback at the joke. "Martin is right, Teller. You're making us look bad." Kyle joked.
"All right, show's over. Go fix something." Adam said.
Martin and Jax went to the station they usually work at. "What happened?"
"What do you mean?" Jax asked.
"You got a haircut. You're smiling. You joined in on our jokes. So, what happened to you?"
"Is it a crime to get a haircut?" Jax sarcastically asked. "If it's a crime, then I must be guilty." He laughed.
"Come on, tell me what really happened to you." Martin said.
Jax knew he couldn't get out of this conversation. "Regarding the haircut, I just got tired of my long hair and wanted to have it short. I'm smiling because I did something which I never thought of doing."
