Kate and Jax stood in his backyard. They looked at the progress they just made.
"Jax, the backyard looks amazing." Kate said.
"It does and it's because of you." Jax mentioned. "It would probably look plain if I did it."
"I don't believe that." Kate scoffed. "You know where to place certain things and make the space look great. I just assisted." She insisted. "This is all you."
"I still appreciate the assistance." Jax stepped closer to Kate. He put his arm over her shoulders.
Kate looked up at him. "So, what do I get for helping you out? Am I just a good buddy who will receive a free beer?" She teased him.
Jax let out a laugh. "You can still get a beer, but not for this reason. You're more than this comparison. There are two things you can definitely receive for your help."
"Oooo, now I'm intrigued." Kate grinned at Jax. "What will I receive?"
Jax smiled back at her. Kate's smiles are contagious. He can't even count anymore the number of times he has smiled since they began to spend time together. "Let's go inside my house and I'll tell you what you'll receive."
"Okay then." Kate followed him as they walked back into the house.
Jax opened the refrigerator and took out two beers. He threw away the caps and handed one bottle to Kate. "To a productive day." His bottle clinked against hers.
"I concur. We got a lot done." Kate added.
