3RD PERSON POV:

All 5 kids were screaming their heads as the room kept going down at the speed of light. Robin and Jamie were holding onto the shelves, and Steve was holding onto the boxes. Both Dustin and Erica were smashing the buttons for the room to stop but it was unsuccessful. Finally, the room hit the bottom and everyone fell. Steve had a box fall on top of him and when Jamie got up she lifted the insanely heavy box and set it back onto the others.

Robin asked, "Is everyone okay?"

Steve got up and started yelling, "YEAH, I'M GREAT, NOW THAT I KNOW THAT RUSSIANS CAN'T DESIGN ELEVATORS!"

He then shoved Dustin out of the way to press the buttons.

"I think we've clearly established that those buttons don't work," Robin said.

"THEY'RE BUTTONS. THEY HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!"

"If we had a keycard!" Jamie spoke up.

"A what?" Steve asked.

"It's an electronic lock. Same as the loading dock door. If we don't have a keycard, it won't operate, meaning-" Jamie explained.

"We're stuck in here," Dustin finished.

"Yeah," Jamie replied.

Steve closed the door to the buttons when Erica said, "Just so you nerds are aware. I'm supposed to be spending the night at Tina's, and Tina always covers for me. But if I'm not home for Uncle Jack's party tomorrow, and my mom finds out you four are responsible, she's gonna hunt you down, one by one, and slit your throat."

Steve shouted, "I DON'T CARE ABOUT TINA! OR UNCLE JACK'S PARTY! Your mom's not gonna be able to find us if we're dead in a Russian elevator!"

Dustin spoke up, "Hey." He then pointed to the ceiling, "What if we climbed out?"

They managed to open the top and Dustin and Steve climbed up.

"What were you saying about climbing?" Steve said.

The elevator shaft went on forever, making it impossible to climb.

STEVE'S POV:

A couple hours had passed and Robin, Dustin, and Erica had all fallen asleep. I noticed Jamie was still awake so I walked over to her.

"You should get some rest," I told her.

"No, I can't. I really can't. How is it we always get into these situations."

"You mean with Russians and crazy monsters?"

"What else would it be?"

"Okay, okay. I'm not sure, but we have gotten through it before."

"Yeah, we need a plan on how to get out. We can all survive a maximum of 3 days without water."

"I'm pretty sure the door will open before 3 days."

"We need a plan for when they do. Like we have nowhere to hide and it'll be obvious we were here..."
