Chapter 16- Nighteye?

(Rimuru POV)

Mirio: "Do you know about Sir Nighteye?"

Rimuru: "Nope. But he sounds like Batman's sidekick. Wait is Batman even in this world?"

Mirio: "Oh wait you don't know about him? Man I was depending on Sir's popularity but it seems that he doesn't have too many fans. I should tell him to socialize more...."

Rimuru: "....uhuh. Hey Ciel who is that?."

<<Sir Nighteye is a fairly high ranking hero who has his own agency. One of the notable things about him is that he used to be All Might's sidekick.>>

"All Might's old sidekick?..."

Mirio: "Oh so you DO know about him! That saves me the trouble of explaining his background."

Rimuru: "I see, so what about Sir Nighteye?"

Mirio: "Well I actually happen to be working there for my work studies. Your performance in the sports festival caught his attention and he wanted to scout you for your internships.
He told me that he had some other reasons as well but he'll tell you about it in person."

Rimuru: "For real?"

Mirio: "For real!"

Rimuru: "Really?"

Mirio: "Really."

Rimuru: "You didn't lie."

Mirio: "I didn't."

Both: "......."

Rimuru: "Oh I have a sandwich that I was about to eat. You want half?"

Mirio: "Oh that's great! I forgot to bring my lunch anyways."

I gave him half of the sandwich I was having which he took gleefully.

Mirio: "Man this is pretty good!"

Rimuru: "Yeah it is, I made it afterall......So about Sir Nighteye."

Mirio: "Oh yeah right, do you accept?"

Rimuru: "Can you give me a moment? I wanted to think about the offer for a bit."

The moment I said that, the world seemed to slow down immensely. Every phenomenon came to a halt....or so it seemed while my thoughts were accelerated to a billion times that of a normal person.

Rimuru: "What do you think?"

Rimuru: "Why."

Rimuru: "Aren't you the one who wanted to know about them? I thought you had nigh omniscience."

Rimuru: "Well would you look at that. So even the great Manas Ciel DOES have some limits."
