“Where am I going to stay?” I asked Alexis as we approached her house.

She shrugged. “Probably my room, although Mom might let you stay in Aiden’s if you play your cards right.” She winked at me and I blushed at the thought of staying in the same room as my hot… boyfriend.

Alexis opened the door and I was instantly pulled into Aiden’s arms. He hugged me tightly against him and a strange happy feeling invaded my stomach. “You’re back,” he breathed into my hair.

Alexis laughed at her brother. “I told you she would be fine.”

“Whatever,” he muttered, not letting go of me. I giggled at his behavior. It was the first time I’d ever really felt cared about.

“We even made it back in less than twenty minutes,” I told him matter-of-factly. He chuckled and let go of me, taking my bag despite my protests.

I followed Aiden and Alexis inside where we were met by two identical boys. They were wearing the same outfits and both had the same gray eyes as the rest of their family, but blond hair like their dad. They were both grinning.

The one on the left spoke first, “Hi, I’m Trey!”

“And I’m Tyler,” the other finished. He had a small scar above his left eyebrow. I tried to store that away in my mind so I would know which boy was which.

“I’m Samara,” I introduced myself as Aiden’s arm slipped around my waist, pulling me to his side. I had to admit, I loved it.

Tyler nodded. “We know. You’re Aiden’s mate.”

“Yeah, he talks about you all the time,” Trey added. I blushed again and Aiden’s arm tightened slightly around my waist.

He pursed his lips at the twins. “Don’t you have homework to do?”

“It’s Friday,” Tyler complained.

“Yeah, we’ll do it Sunday,” Trey finished. Did they always do that?

Aiden sighed. “Alright, well go help Mom with dinner or something. I’m going to show Samara where she’s staying.”

“And that’s in Alexis’ room!” Mrs. Hence called from the kitchen. “Don’t you dare try anything else mister.”

“Fine Mom,” Aiden muttered loudly, leading me towards the stairs. “I guess you’ll be staying in Alexis’ room…” I laughed softly at the bitterness in his voice. “And here we are,” he announced, throwing open the door to his sister’s room.

He flung my bag onto the bed and wrapped his other arm around my waist. He pressed his forehead against mine. “So, how are you dealing with everything?”

“What do you mean?” I asked, finding it hard to focus with him so close. My gaze kept drifting down to his lips which suddenly quirked up.

“If you keep staring at my lips, I’ll be too busy kissing you to have a conversation,” he warned in a husky tone.

I smiled sheepishly. “Well I’m dealing with everything fine so there’s really no reason we need to have a conversation right now.”

He grinned. “Is that your way of asking me to kiss you?”

“Maybe,” I offered. I wasn’t really thinking about what I was saying; it was just coming out of my mouth. It was probably a side-effect of his proximity.

“Alright,” he mumbled before kissing me softly. I kissed him back, more forcefully. I moved closer to him, my hands running through his hair and-
