shinji sat in his office looking over a report, so far SERAPH had constructed twenty-six dreadnoughts to be used in the defense of avorion, when the queen and the elder schnee walked in
"master ikari" the queen said
"queen pendragon" i responded
"i hope we can put the unpleasantness between us" the queen said
"let's put it this way, if i couldn't you would be like all of the other would-be conquerors" i said
"dead and mutilated" she said
"i do not like it when people attempt to steal my home" i said
"this office is quite comfortable for a secondary office" the queen said
"this is actually one of several offices of this fortress, my personal office is within the halls of the castle itself, if this fortress were staffed this would be the dock foreman's office" i said
"no wonder it is so close to that hanger then" she said, i nodded
"i wish to speak of an alliance between castle avorion and the kingdom of avalon" the queen said
"you have nothing to give me in return" i said dismissively
"master ikari, have before me two choices, the first is to form this alliance with you the second is to order my men to continue our assault, jacques schnee is still the head of his house, unfortunately, he will pull all of his support from this war, meaning the only place left i can look to recover that loss would be here, your fortress is the easiest to take of the ancient dungeons" the queen said
"and yet you've made no headway whatsoever" i said
"it is the easiest to take in terms of the ancient dungeons, that doesn't make it actually easy" the queen said
"my queen, if i may" winter cut in
"of course winter, i am sure i know what you wish to ask" the queen said
"what will happen to my sister" winter asked
"so long as she remains here, nothing, should she leave on a permanent basis, she is no longer my problem" i answered, the queen froze in shock
"you don't intend to claim her, weiss schnee is one of the most sought after dragons in the sector, do to her inherited mystic code and sacred art" the queen said in shock
"the castle was created to help those in dire need, weiss schnee is currently in dire need, until such a time as that need no longer exists she will be welcome within these halls, she has proven herself so she might be given greater reign in the castle" i said
"you limit her access" winter said
"of course i do, wouldn't you" i asked incredulously, she paused before bowing her head, he had a point, she would, if only to defend the installation after all if it no longer is under his jurisdiction it may not continue to follow that mandate
"now, even under my authority it may or may not continue with it's current course, i cannot ready the future after all, but for this moment at least, my home will be open to those that need it, that includes miss weiss schnee" i said
"excalibur to general schnee" winter's communicator went off, she looked to her queen and host, the latter gestured for her to go ahead, causing the former to give a nod, she pulled out her communicator earbud, and put it her ear
"this is schnee go ahead" winter responded, as she listened her eyes widened
"what are they doing" winter demanded, another pause
