Did Kokushibo change sides like Muzan accused him? Technically speaking, no. Only temporarily. But right now he knows that if he want Muzan gone, he needs to team up with his enemies. They all want one thing. So Kokushibo tolerates them. He tolerates the idea of working with the demon slayers only this once.
Does he think he'll survive? No. If he does survive he'll be shocked. But that doesn't matter right now.
What matters is bringing Muzan down.
Out of the corner of two of his eyes, Kokushibo can see Tanjirou sprint out into the battle field and launch an attack against Muzan.
"Tanjirou!" A yellow haired demon slayer cries out. "Do you remember us!?"
Tanjirou quickly glances at the boy. "Not really." He answers. "But you do seem slightly familiar."
The demon slayer cries. He actually cries. "Waaa! Tanjirouu! I've missed you!"
The boy dodges Muzan's attack.
"Kraaa! One hour until sunrise!" A crow nearby screams
"One hour." Kokushibo echoes "We'll only need to keep him here for one hour."
Kokushibo grabs a hold of Tanjirou's haori and pulls him out of range of one of Muzan's attacks.
One hour.
