Can't believe you're not here :(
-AspenThe first text she's sent me since I've left and that's all I got. To make it worse it's not even a 'miss you' or a 'how are you'. It's just a meaning less statement, one sided. In her defence I haven't really texted her either, but still. I wonder if it's just the fact she can't sit with my brother or Matt at lunch anymore. At least she did reach out, she's the only one so far other then Matt. He did try to call me the first day I was here but I don't need him giving my brother any information about my life. He's lost that privilege.
Looking in the bathroom mirror the girl in front of me looks rough. Her hair is a rats nest, she didn't take off her makeup the night before so it's smudged around her face. She looked skinnier then usual, not in a good way. Her face is bonier then usual. Her ribs are poking out a little to much as well. To top it off she has her first day of school in about hour and a half. Last night was rough. After my disagreement with Christina I couldn't sleep and skipped dinner. So I'm upset, hungry and exhausted, what a great way to start my day. Turning on the shower i move the hair out of my face it's time to make myself presentable and pretend I'm okay to a whole new group of people.

Getting out of the hot shower felt great, it made me feel fresh, almost new. Wrapping my hair up and doing my make up. My routine was pretty easy a little concealer, little blush and eyebrow glue finishing with mascara and a little lip gloss I was ready. I want to keep it simple, I don't want people to think I'm to much on my first day. Walking back into my room I left my clothes on my bed for my first day. It was a ripped pair of blue mom jeans with a black belt and a black crop top. Unwrapping my hair I decided to let it air dry to give it a slight curl. Glancing at myself in the mirror behind my door, I look good. Grabbing my bag I make my way downstairs, hearing hushed voices. I walk into the kitchen where my cousins are sitting at the table eating breakfast and my aunt and uncle whispering at the kitchen island. Once they catch sight of me they stop, great so it was about me.
I walk over to the coffee maker and pulling out a mug and pouring some coffee into the cup. I walk over to the kitchen table and take a seat next to William and give him a smile. "Cher do you want some breakfast?"
"I don't usually eat breakfast, i pretty much just have coffee." Giving Christina a tight lipped smile and mumbles an okay.
"Okay we'll I better get going, I let Whitney open but you know she's not overly comfortable with the espresso machine." Christina gives jack a kiss and kisses the top of Henry and Williams head. Once she gets to me she kisses the top of my head and whispers "have a great day, if you need anything just give me a call and I'll be there." Before I could say anything she was down the hall and out the door.
"Okay" jack slaps his hands together catching my attention. "So usually Christina or I drive William to school and Henry either drives himself or catches a ride with us or the guys. But I thought that because it was your first day I'd drive you?"
I look up at him "what about my car? I thought it was going to get shipped here?"
Jack looks at the watch on his wrist and back to me. "Charlie said something about it not getting delivered till thanksgiving."
I slam my cup on the table and stand up "that's almost a month away!" Of course he couldn't even do this for me.
Jack stops moving around the kitchen "I know and I'm very sorry but there's not much more I can do. Charlie said something about the insurance but It will be here soon and besides till then I can drive you places or Henry can. Right Henry?"
Henry lifts his head up from his bowl "ya that's totally fine. Why don't you just catch a ride with me to school anyway. I have to go early today anyway."
