"Charlie jr?"

I quickly push myself off of Jessie and scurried off the couch. So I'm standing in front of Jessie "what are you doing here?"

The two figures are standing by the stairs with their arms crossed. They look almost the same since the last time I've seen them, expect Matt was rocking some facial hair. But other than that it was just Charlie and Matt. Staring at me like I've grown a second head.

Charlie takes a step forward narrowing his eyes at us and point a finger at Jessie "who the hell is that? You've barely been here two months and you already have some boy toy?"

I scoff "typical, you don't give two shits about me but oh no, I'm messing around with one of my friends and you want to come around and play big brother. Well you don't get too." I then point my finger at Matt "and neither do you." But once again I'm remind where we are. "I'm going to ask again. What are you doing here."

Matt still in the same spot as before holds up his hand and dangling from it are my car keys. "We're not here to play big brother Charlie jr. we just wanted to make sure you were okay. You haven't been answering our calls."

I scoff but then finally everything makes sense. Why jack was being so weird about my car coming, why Christina was being so funny about thanksgiving weekend and who was coming. Running over everything in my head I notice a couple people hiding behind the railing. My blood starts to boil when I caught the eye of my cousin.

I point my finger at him "you." His eyes nearly bulged out of his head. "You knew they were coming and didn't even bother to even to tell me!"

Charlie jumps in front of me blocking the view of Henry "we wanted it to be a surprise. Everyone thought it would be better as a surprise. So don't blame them, blame me."

I scoff and jab my finger into his chest "why? Why would it be so important for you to surprise me?"
His didn't respond, and his silence speaks volumes. "You knew, they all knew that if you told me I would fight it. Hell I probably would have disappeared for the weekend." I move closer to him still holding his eye contact. "You did it out of your own satisfaction. You wanted to play the hero. Well here you go Charlie, you're the big hero bringing me my car. Now you can go."

I move over to Matt and rip the car keys out of his hands. I turn around and walk back over to the couch. "We can't go Charlie jr. We don't leave till Tuesday we're flying out from Kelowna." Of course, why couldn't anything work in my favour.

I grab my phone and purse from the couch and whip around "well then you have a great weekend because I'm leaving."

I can't look at any of my so called friends in the eye, I can't believe no one told me. I shove past my brother and move down the stairs. I can feel everyone eyes following me. Henry tries to reach out to grab my arm but I keep going, not wanting to hear what he had to say.

I leave the barn and storm into the house slamming the door behind me. Which catches the attention of my aunt, uncle and youngest cousin at the table eating dinner.

By the worry looks on their faces I know that they know. I scoff and roll my eyes and move down the hall to get to the front door to get out of here. I'm half way down the hall before I'm stopped by my aunt "Cher, he's our family. He's your family Cher, he really misses you. He would have been alone if he didn't stay for the holidays."

I turn to face my aunt. At this point I'm beyond mad, I'm seeing red. I move my arms out "oh he's family? I had no idea. Maybe I'll treat him how you guys treat family and I'll call him in ten years. How does that sound?"

Jack moves into the door frame beside Christina and place his hand on her shoulder. By the looks on her face I could tell she was really upset about what I said. If I wasn't so furious I'd apologize but I can't think about that.
